Back from the hospital and lunch. Dad is looking a bit better but still in critcal care. Today is just lots of blood and vitamins. Tomorrow is more tests. Since he is looking more stable, it seems I will be making my flight tomorrow

Well, I had my follow-up with my doctor today. After telling him everything we did in physical therapy and where I'm still having problems, he decided (finally) that it was time for an MRI.

So I'm in a holding pattern until I get a call from the imaging place about scheduling the MRI. But he sounded like it would be really soon because he wanted me to schedule another appointment in 3 weeks (and that he would need a week after the MRI to get the results). So hopefully next week or the week after I will have it done.

Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that it shows them something useful and we can figure out exactly what is going on.

on an unrelated note, i have a story to cheer everyone up. I tried to make cake pops today on the new maker my friend got me for my birthday. Well the ziploc baggie i was using as a pastry bag (as per their recommendation) exploded. All over me, all over the counters, even all over the poor dog. it looked like a chocolate bomb went off. meanwhile, the pops I did manage to GET into the maker, were cooking. I was panicking. it was kinda hilarious.

Not having a great day... Just back from the hospital where we got my dad admitted against his will. He seems ok with the fact he is there now... He will be undergoing LOTS of tests tonight and it's looking dicey.

Oh and a blood transfusion. :/
