Hi there!

Ill be travelin' down to DW in 49 days!!! May 19-26 :cheer2: Not soon enough though! I'm 21 and I will be traveling with my DSis(20) and DFriend (20 and first Disney Trip EVER!) I want to put together a little "gift basket" together for them and put it in the limo for them....Gosh I would be a great mom!!! :rotfl:

I want to put like a MR Potato head in there so we can stuff our box to the max, poncho, candy, etc. But I am stuck for ideas. I am an avid scrapbooker and I made these cute little mickey shaped tags that say "Can't wait till you get here! Love, Mickey!" I fear this may be a little corny and kiddish but I want this vaca to be fun! And I know they would love it! IDEAS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!! :wizard:

Sounds fun and you sound well on your way already. Maybe Disney Stickers. We found Disney lip balm at the Dollar store - Winnie the Pooh and Princesses. How about cheap disposable cameras?

Have blast with your buds!

hey Tink, we are all a little corny and kiddish on these boards, that's the fun of it, noone cares. I think it sounds very sweet and thoughtful. Maybe a travel book about Disney so they can read about what they want to do when they get there or maybe travel journals so they can write about their adventuresl. You may even try a toy store for a Mickey game. I think they have Mickey or Disney UNO, wouldn't take up to much room in a basket, or maybe just a deck of regular disney playing cards. We love listening to the park tunes of the rides and attractions, it really puts you in the mood, so maybe a park cd, assuming your friends will be bringing a cd player. Enjoy your trip!! :music:

I've done lots of welcome baskets! Here are some things I've included:

--matching t-shirts for group photos
--autograph book
--Disney themed snacks (I've found chocolates, cereals, kids' fruit snacks, kids' juice boxes, candy, Mickey pretzels (got at WDW), and many others!
--Disney lip balm
--Mickey and Pooh playing cards (for nights back at the hotel)
--light toys for night-time in the parks
--ponchos
--refillable mugs (order ahead of time)
--antennae toppers
--safari animal notepads and stickers (when we stayed at AKL)
--Disney notepads and stickers
--disposeable cameras (Target occasionally has Disney themed ones!)
--tiaras for princesses of all ages!
--snack/goody bags
--lanyard and a pin picked out for each person
--hairbows, scrunchies, or ballcaps
--character watch (only about $6 at WalMart, and kinda fun for vacation :) )
--bottles of pixie dust :wizard:
--a set of Mickey ears
--and for kids we usually do game books and coloring books for the plane/car rides

That's all I can remember for right now....we usually take people with us, so we've done lots of goodie baskets! Hope you have a fantastic time!

I was also going to suggest matching shirts. They don't have to be T's, but could be same style different colors. You could also do cute or funny sunglasses. Let your imagination be your guide.

Thank you everyone for your help! Your ideas are great!!! I'm going to go shopping this weekend so I'll let you know what I find!! :cool1: Thanks again!

Wait!!! Don't go shopping yet! If you already have, sorry! I'm going to do something like this and I'd make sure to add: a couple of spray fans and "SPWIPES", like a sunscreen wipe. They seem to be invaluable!!

Thanks for your help and have fun!
Tiger
