"Welcome Home" phrase not used

We were at VWL last month & got Welcome Home when CMs saw we were DVCers
It did make us feel special

Our very first trip as DVC members was to Vero. When we pulled up to the gate and the guard said "Welcome home" ....I got all teary eyed. We've been back to DVC many times since and I've never gotten another Welcome Home.....but I always hope to get one....it's such a nice touch. Wish Disney would make it a standard greeting to us all!

I always get a "welcome home" if we are at OKW, although I will admit that our most recent trip(January 2002) is the first time I have gotten the little washcloth animals, and we've been members since 1997, with usually 2 trips per year!

I think at BWV, the "welcome home" may be less common since it's a hotel as well as a DVC property. Unless they're actively thinking about whether you're a DVC member or not, you might not get the "welcome home".

We have only been home twice so far and heard "Welcome Home" both times at check-in.

On our second trip home, however, what really impressed us was when we were walking down the street at MGM headed to Tower of Terror we passed the DVC booth and heard a cheerful "Welcome Home!". It took us a minute to realize that the CM had seen our USA Mickey pins that we got in the mail !:)

we were welcomed home at the guard house and at check in during our trip to okw in the beginning of february...we also had the occasional welcome home from different people thru the resort while we were there for the week....
i guess it all depends on who is working what and when....
have fun!!!!
