Thanks for sharing. Once we actually saw the lion standing on the highest rock like a scene out of Lion King, it was so exciting. In December we actually saw a cheetah for the first time ever and I managed to get a photo of it and two photos of a tree trunk that looked the same in the display. We also saw a hippo out of the water and it dived into the pond, unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of that, too excited as you don't expect to see much movement in this exhibit. Took a nice photo of the driver's wing mirror though.

I'm very impressed by your photos on Kilimanjaro Safari - I can never get a photo that doesn't look extremely shaky!

I agree with you about Disney and how they tell you to get to the shows so early - the only reason these things fill up and have huge queues is because of the mentality of having to get there so early, arrrrrggghh

Sounds like a much more successful trip to AK though and a lovely end to the day too.

I have a close up of rhino's butt .
I used the sports mode on my camera+the pics did'nt come out to bad ,i got a really good one of the giraffe as they were so close to us .x.

I thought it was funny when you said you had seen a sweatshirt you wanted to buy - but then went back to you car and got a sweatshirt from there. Was there a reason you didn't just go and get the one from the shop??

Bah, I thought I'd got away with that one. Yes, and no is the answer. I had seen a sweatshirt but I also knew that I wanted to get the rolling bag and I didn't want to have to cart that around for the rest of the night, plus I didn't have any money on me so it would have meant Dad having to pay for it. As the car was (relatively) close to the turnstiles I decided to go back and get the sweatshirt I had there.

Aahhh the rolling bag. We got one of those as well - came in extremley handy for the return leg as we used it to put our 'breakables' in then took it on as hand luggage
