Welcome Home, Now Relax ~ Day 10 - Cypress Gardens, Shopping, MK (Lots of photos)

Lovely series of fireworks pictures. I can almost hear the music as the light changes on the Castle.

David, you and your Dad have brought meaning to the word "relax" that you so appropriately named this TR. Whether by decision or temperament neither of you let a change in the day's plan throw you--you just shift gears and have a cheeseburger. You guys are so laid back I'm thinking an apt alternate name for your TR could be Ray and Dave's Excellent Adventure.

fantastic piccies :goodvibes

Excellent firework photos. Loads of mine are just streaks of coloured lights as I never seem to hit the button at the right time to catch the actual explosion.

I am pleased you had a good day. Did you end up going to Cypress Gardens in the rest of the trip? If not always next time.

I'm the same with fireworks, I just hit the button and hope for the best - but that's the beauty of digital photography, you just delete the rubbish shots and you haven't wasted anything.

We didn't go back to Cypress Gardens but, like you say, we can do it next time.

Sorry your plans were thwarted and that you didn't get to Cypress Gardens. I love CoP and Sonny Eclipse :) Can't believe there was a queue for the TTA, we have never encountered that. Thanks for sharing your wonderful Spectromagic pictures, it is my most favourite parade and I loved seeing it come to life in your TR.

It's a Fuji Finepix F47. Just a little compact camera which I normally just leave on auto and point and shoot. I have discovered that night-time parade and fireworks photos come out better if I turn the flash off though. I did have a bit of trouble with Mardi Gras because there were some rotating spotlights that I think kept confusing the camera on how much light there was.

I'm sure you'll make an evening next time as Emily will be just that little bit older and will probably be able to handle it better.

The pic of Mickey and the castle certainly deserves comment. I know people who will spend hours looking for the perfect spot only for Mickey to be looking the wrong way. It all turned out spot on for you so well done.
Loads of other good pics too - but that one really stands out from the crowd.

Thanks, it was certainly a case of "Right place, right time", especially as we never normally watch the parades from in front of the castle.

shame the weather put a dampner on your trip out, but you both don't seem to let anything get you down.
