We're taking our 6yr grandson to WDW in Aug. I would like to purchase a surprise " basket " w/ Disney goodies and have it delivered to our VWL room so Jackson will think Mickey left it for him. Has anyone done this ? Do you have a website ? What do they cost, approx. . And will they deliver it to the hotel ?? Thanks for your help !;)

The baskets come from WDW Florist. There are no websites or cataloges to my knowledge, and I have been looking. I want to get a couple myself on our next trip. From what I gather, you just talk to someone when you check in. They can't have it waiting for you in your room the day you check in thought b/c i don't think they have rooms assigned yet. I have also heard that if you call them (I don't remember the number but I am sure if you call WDW or do a web search, you can find it) that they will fax you or possibly mail you a brochure. Hopes this helps -- i will keep checking back here to see what other info you find out.

This link is from the 'disney dollarless' site, it is a list of what WDW florist offers, the florist will also fax you information. When we went in Jan. I ordered a basket of goodies from Gifts of a Lifetime. The basket had mickey ears, guest of honour badge, autograph book, fat pen, penny press book, passport for epcot, everything a well prepared kid needs for Disney World.

Here is the phone number for the WDW Florist, 407-827-3505. I ordered a "Whale of a Pail" for my DS this past March and he loved it. The folks at WDW Florist are really great they will give you plenty of ideas.

I forgot to add that they can have the gift basket waiting in your room on the day you arrive. That is what we had planned, however, when we checked into CSR we were upgraded. The gift basket was sent to the original room we were assigned. When the folks checked into that room and saw that the basket wasn't for them they returned it to the front desk. So we didn't get the basket until the second day and it was waiting for us in the room when we returned from the parks, it was a nice surprise for my DS. I would suggest having the gify basket delivered the second day of your stay, that way if your room assignment gets changed there won't be any problems.

I did this for my dd but I did it myself I think that way she got better stuff and things she would really like. I got her disney Pj's
a minnie mouse doll guest of honor badge, sunglasses a bunch more stuff and I made a letter on the computer from Mickey, When we got to the room dh and I ran up "to check we were in the right place" I just made sure i took the bag with that stuff in it.
I put it on the bed with some mickey head confetti and when she walked in she was thrilled. If there is 2 of you one could stay with him one could run up and put it out. plus I had fun picking out the stuff. Micky also left my mom presents too. She liked it as much as Lexi did.

I make goodie bags for my kids each year and Mickey brings them each night so that the kids have something new each morning. I buy disney themed party bags and little party treats on clearance. I add some candy/snacks, beenies, and other items I have picked up over the year. I store these in a small tote so I sometimes forget what I have. :D I make these up a couple of days before we leave and pack them back in the tote so they are ready to pull out each morning.

This year I am going to make a larger gift basket for each kid. I am going to buy a sand pail and fill it with goodies. Much less expensive than ordering one. I have to be creative about hiding and putting them out without being caught but so far it works.

I got the idea of making little goodie bags from the DISBOARDS postings. I've been collecting things for months now - mostly from the dollar tree stores - and I love the sand bucket idea. I've been collecting so much that I'm starting to get concerned about packing it and I may even ship it down to our room. I think the welcome gift and the daily gift ideas are great!
