Welcome, Foolish Mortals...to an October 2011 PTR! *Trip Report link is up, pg 71!!*

Haha, I love that you've got another 3 park day planned! I love the picture with the MK balloons. It really makes me wish I was there right now! Congrats on 2 pounds! That is awesome!!! :goodvibes

Congrats on the continued weight loss!!

Day 5 sounds great! I love the parks in the evening, they seem extra fun and themed then! :goodvibes

I can't believe how many 3 park days you have! Could you ever go to Disney without a hopper?? :rotfl:
I think no dinner ADR is wise! Fill up on those booths!
TREX is really yummy and a fun experience, but I agree-- seems kind of a pain to leave AK and go to DTD just to go back to Epcot.

LOL! I don't think I could do Disney without a park hopper! I like to be able to go wherever I want, on whatever day, so I kind of need that flexibility when I'm there! :cool1: :rotfl2:

I think I'm going to cancel TRex, it's just too much for that day! And I have to make Boma a little later, our ADR is 7:30, I should make it at least for 8!

Day 5 looks great, you are going to love F&W is so much fun eating and drinking around the world. Make sure you get one of those wrist card thingies as they are so much more useful and easy to load up with cash just for the booths :)

Thanks! I'm definitely getting a wrist card this year, last year we didn't bother, but this year I think it's a necessity! I wonder if they will be selling them on the 29th? That would be nice, so I wouldn't have to fight the crowds on Saturday to get one!

CONGRATS on the weight loss!! I am so happy for you!!!:banana::banana:

Plans sound great, that is a lot of park hopping, I get tired just reading about it.

I'm going to say again how jealous I am that you get to enjoy food and wine festival. There are too many times of year I want to travel to Disney in! I should just move down there, it would be more affordable that way. :rotfl:

Can't wait to see if you change your plans around. :thumbsup2

Thanks, me too! :) I really hope I can lose 18 more pounds by the time our trip is here...it seems do-able, right?

LOL, yeah, we're always park hopping! That's why I wanted to stay near MK or Epcot, I knew we'd be there a lot, so it makes sense to have our resort close!

I want to move closer to Disney too, at least driving distance so we can go down for the weekend or something! I don't think I could ever live in Florida, but I could do SC or something! :thumbsup2

I'm thinking of changing some things around, but I'm not sure! I'm really worried about Epcot on Saturday, 10/1...I know it's going to be crazy at night, and I thought I'd avoid that by going in the morning and leaving when the crowds started piling in, but I'm nervous the whole day is going to be crowded! :confused3

Congrats on the 3 pounds!

Day 5 plans sound great. We LOVE Boma!

Thanks! Boma is so good, I don't think we'll be skipping that one for a while!:thumbsup2

Sounds like a busy day! Three parks and possibly DTD!
BTMRR at night is awesome! It is my favorite time to ride it. And you should definitely try to see FoTLK, it's my favorite show, and I feel like it's worth the time spent watching it. :thumbsup2

Yep, definitely a busy day! Although, I know 3 parks seems like a lot, but it's really not too bad! We're basically only going to Epcot to eat, so we won't be rushing around, and we don't have to stay at MK til midnight, I'd just like to go for an hour or two! I can't wait to try BTMRR at night, it sounds like so much fun! :thumbsup2

Yay on being able to go through the F&W menus and choose what you guys want to have! :cool1: All of it sounds delish!

:woohoo: on being within the one month mark and losing another 2 pounds!

Great day 5 plans - wow at it being another 3 park day!

You crack me up with your three park days. :lmao:

Sounds like you have a great day planned overall.

I don't know if you've ever had it, but Yak and Yeti counter service is a pretty good option too, if you don't want to bother with an ADR. The food is very good. :thumbsup2

I know, the 3 park days are kind of insane! But I think this is it for the trip, things calm down a lot after this day! I think on Wednesday we don't even park hop at all! Imagine that! :scared1:

I think we've had Y&Y CS once, so I'll definitely keep that in mind! I think I'll be canceling TRex for now, it's just too much for that day, but I'm going to try to find another time in the week to add it in! :thumbsup2

Congrats on the weight loss!! What exactly are you doing to shed the pounds?? I figured once I start working in 2 weeks, the temptation of eating out will be gone since I'll be working while my roommate has her days off and so on lol.

Sounds like good day 5 plans :)

Thanks! I've been doing Weight Watchers, but I'm using the old plan, since I have all the material, I've heard it works better than the new plan. I'm also trying to exercise every day, sometimes twice a day...I've been walking, but this week I'm going to do my elliptical some days, and I really need to start doing some weights to tone myself up a little! Have you ever tried WW? It's really good, I like that you can eat whatever you want, as long as you track your points! :thumbsup2

Girl, eventually your husband is just going to sit on a bench somewhere and refuse to get up! Another 3 park day? You are CRAZY! :lmao: Maybe you could treat him to the leg and foot massage they have at the GF spa...

We did that a couple of times last trip and my feet HURT! Which is exactly why we WON'T be doing that this year. Don't get me wrong when we go places that we have to walk a lot, I'm the leader and telling everyone to move it but I so do pay for it later!

We'll be at MK that night for EMH as well, of course. I love riding Jungle Cruise at night for some reason. The same goes for BTMRR. I don't think I've ever done People Mover at night, perhaps we'll try it!

LOL, my DH is pretty good about going along with my plans! I tell him all of these things when I'm planning it out, and he never says no to anything! And believe it or not, I whine about my feet hurting more than he does! If it seems like too much, we will skip MK that night! My days aren't set in stone or anything, if we're tired, we'll skip things!

I'd love to get a massage at the GF someday, maybe for an anniversary trip! :thumbsup2

I love the Peoplemover at night, Tomorrowland at night is so fun! :thumbsup2 I never go to Fronteirland at night though, it's weird, I basically forget it exists! :rotfl:

Haha, I love that you've got another 3 park day planned! I love the picture with the MK balloons. It really makes me wish I was there right now! Congrats on 2 pounds! That is awesome!!! :goodvibes

I can't believe we're the only ones that do 3 park days! :rotfl: There have to be other crazy people out there that do that too, right? And I think I only have us doing that twice this trip...I think...

Isnt that balloon picture so pretty? I found it one day and now I'm obsessed, it's the background on my computer and my phone! :rotfl:

Congrats on the continued weight loss!!

Day 5 sounds great! I love the parks in the evening, they seem extra fun and themed then! :goodvibes

Thanks!

I love the parks at night too! That's why as crazy as it is to do 3 parks, I don't like the thought of skipping any EMH nights! :rotfl: I'm kind of annoyed with how Disney did the schedule for the hours the week we're going, the EMH nights are too close together! They could have spread them out over the week. :sad2: Oh well!

WooHoo on the continued weight loss!!!!

Day 5 plans sound great! Another 3-park day, but I am sure you can pull it off :)

If you don't want to go to DTD to T-Rex, then doing a CS at AK sounds like a good idea. up to you :)

haha, if you have 3 parks planned for one day you should just try and go for the grand slam! Some day I'm going to go for all four in one day.

I love that MK balloon picture! Where did you find it? My sister's got a blog going for her CP and she keeps finding all these pictures like that. There are some really cool ones!

Day 5 sounds perfect to me. We're planning on Epcot that day, but your plan to hop over to MK for EMH sounds like a lot of fun. I love Tomorrowland at night. Really all of the MK at night is spectacular.

I think you showed great judiciry with your F&W choices. I actually added up how much it would cost to try every single food and it came to over $300. My new goal is to try one thing from every booth.

Ok, I'm joining in, but it's going to take me weeks to get thru all 45 pages!! I may just have to hit the highlights. :thumbsup2

I think the leg and foot massage at the GF is only $45. It's only like 20 minutes but I thought about it last year when I was aching so bad, just never got around to planning it.

First of all.....CONGRATS on losing 2 more pounds! That's FANTABULOUS!!!

I really love your Day 5 plans. If it wasn't for my 4YO little man I think we would be doing some hopping similar to yours! I think canceling T-Rex is probably best with you already hopping to 3 parks and taking a rest at your resort as well. I love your idea of MK at night. All of my night experiences at MK are for the parade and fireworks. I don't think I have ever ridden any of the rides at night. I would LOVE to be able to do BTMRR at night!

Oh yeah....that picture of the Mickey balloons on Main Street is gorgeous. I am always keeping my eye open for new photo ops so I will definitely be adding something like this to my list! :thumbsup2

Well hey, next year you're doing a re-do of your East meets West trip during October right? And I'm pretty sure I invited myself along on that trip...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

And you know what I say - THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!!!!

Great Day 5 Plans. I'm tired just reading them!

Oh my gosh you guys are the parking hopping experts!! You are the reason they made the park hopper option :lmao:

Congrats on more weight loss, you are doing great!!

Okay, since you have it in your plans that you're going to go to the International Gateway, I'm going to ask you because I have NO clue. If you walk right out the International Gateway, the Boardwalk is there? Because I'm thinking about what restaurants we can try on the Boardwalk and how we can leave Epcot and return later. Is it that much of a walk? And then you said there's a boat to get to DHS. Is that the fastest way to get from one park to the other? Did I misread it somewhere that it's possible to walk from Epcot to DHS?

Love your new shirts and your "I lost 10 pounds" reward! Congratulations to you! What a fun incentive to keep working at it. I finally got up early today and did 30 minutes of cardio, light weights, and lunges. I felt so "weak sauce" as my kids say, but my fiance is happy that at least I got moving. Every little bit helps! My main concern is my health because I get sick rather often, and I have a lot of health problems regarding my GI tract. Maybe the exercise will help me all over.

I haven't heard of Mouse World Radio. I usually listen to DIS Radio, and I've listened to Sorcerer Radio too. Is there a difference between all the different channels for Mouse World? HAHA, listening to Alien Encounter on it right now ...

YUM, Cape May Cafe?! Take tons of pictures! I'm so intrigued by that place, haha, I don't know why!

Mmm, the food and wine booth offerings look good! If I were ever there then, I'd want to get the money on that card so I wouldn't have to deal with cash or think about how much I'm spending. Haha.

I love your pictorial park plans. Wow. Say that five times fast. :lmao:

That picture of the balloons on Main Street is priceless! Looks like this is all shaping up to be an awesome vacation. :goodvibes

Yay on being able to go through the F&W menus and choose what you guys want to have! All of it sounds delish!

:woohoo: on being within the one month mark and losing another 2 pounds!

Great day 5 plans - wow at it being another 3 park day!

Thanks! I can't wait to go to the Food and Wine festival! :woohoo:''

LOL, I gotta get as much Disney as I can when I'm there! 3 parks in one day isn't that crazy!

WooHoo on the continued weight loss!!!!

Day 5 plans sound great! Another 3-park day, but I am sure you can pull it off

If you don't want to go to DTD to T-Rex, then doing a CS at AK sounds like a good idea. up to you

Thanks!

I'm thinking we most likely won't do TRex at this time. There are a few CS places at AK I'd like to try, so why not?

haha, if you have 3 parks planned for one day you should just try and go for the grand slam! Some day I'm going to go for all four in one day.

I love that MK balloon picture! Where did you find it? My sister's got a blog going for her CP and she keeps finding all these pictures like that. There are some really cool ones!

I would love to do all 4 parks in one day sometime! :thumbsup2 Maybe on a shorter trip!

I saw that balloon picture on Tumblr, but there was text over it, so I did googled something like "mickey balloons on Main Street" and found it...there are lots of really nice Disney pictures out there!

Day 5 sounds perfect to me. We're planning on Epcot that day, but your plan to hop over to MK for EMH sounds like a lot of fun. I love Tomorrowland at night. Really all of the MK at night is spectacular.

Thanks! I love the parks at night! They're great during the day, but they're a little extra magical at night! :lovestruc

Wow $300 to try everything at each booth? That's insane, I wonder if anyone has done that! I want to try at least one thing from each booth too, everything seems so good! :yay:

Ok, I'm joining in, but it's going to take me weeks to get thru all 45 pages!! I may just have to hit the highlights. :thumbsup2

Yay, welcome! :cool1: If you don't want to go through all 45 pages, you can always just read through the chapter links at the beginning to catch up!

I think the leg and foot massage at the GF is only $45. It's only like 20 minutes but I thought about it last year when I was aching so bad, just never got around to planning it.

I actually looked at a price list of everything at the GF spa, some of it is not too bad! I'll have to keep that in mind if we are in terrible pain one day! :rotfl:

First of all.....CONGRATS on losing 2 more pounds! That's FANTABULOUS!!!

I really love your Day 5 plans. If it wasn't for my 4YO little man I think we would be doing some hopping similar to yours! Thanks! :woohoo:

I'm sad we might have to miss TRex this trip, but at least it gives us something to look forward to on the next trip!

I love the parks at night, going on certain rides at night is the best...like ToT and Test Track, they're so much fun when it's dark! :thumbsup2

Hope you get a good balloon picture!

And you know what I say - THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!!!!

Great Day 5 Plans. I'm tired just reading them!

Woo hoo!!

Thanks, I'm tired just thinking about the first few days of our trip too! I might have to do some tweaking here and there!

Oh my gosh you guys are the parking hopping experts!! You are the reason they made the park hopper option

Congrats on more weight loss, you are doing great!!

LOL, I don't know if we're experts or just insane! I don't know what I'd do without the park hopper!

Okay, since you have it in your plans that you're going to go to the International Gateway, I'm going to ask you because I have NO clue. Mmm, the food and wine booth offerings look good! If I were ever there then, I'd want to get the money on that card so I wouldn't have to deal with cash or think about how much I'm spending. Haha.

Yep, if you go out through the International Gateway and go left, the Boardwalk is right there! It's maybe a 5-10 minute walk, it's not too bad!

I don't know too much about taking the boat from Epcot to DHS, I think I've read that it's actually faster to walk...but I just want to take the boats because where else do you get to take boats as transportation other than Disney? :rotfl:

LOL, I'm pretty weak too, when it comes to working out, I've been walking, which is fine, but I'm trying to change it up this week and do my elliptical, and I only did 10 minutes last night! :scared1: It's just so hard! I need to do some weights, I need to tone myself up too! You should be proud that you did 30 minutes, that's pretty impressive for your first day! :yay:

Haha, I don't want to know how much I'm going to spend at the F&W festival either! :rotfl: I think we spent a lot last year, and we only went 2 nights!

I found Mouse World Radio through the Dis...it's a station on Live 365, it's pretty good, but I like DIS radio better! :thumbsup2

I love your pictorial park plans. Wow. Say that five times fast. :lmao:

That picture of the balloons on Main Street is priceless! Looks like this is all shaping up to be an awesome vacation. :goodvibes

Thanks! :goodvibes I love that Main Street picture...sometimes I just look at it on my phone at work when I'm having a stressful day, and think "I'm going to be there soon, I'm going to be there soon"...it definitely helps! :rotfl:

Yay!

Well, as of today, this trip is officially...

Paid In Full!!!!

:woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :grouphug:

I'm a couple weeks early, so that means I have to wait even longer for Mickey Mail, probably won't get it til the beginning of September, but I'm just so happy this trip is paid for! Now all I have to worry about is spending money and MNSSHP tix! I'll probably buy tix to the first party soon, I might wait til our trip is closer to buy the 2nd party, or I might wait until we are down there, just to be sure we really want to do 2 parties!

58 days!!! I can't wait!!! OH, and even better-with the weekends, and random days off here and there, only 37 more days of work before my trip! I can definitely deal with that! :cool1:

Have a great week everyone! :cool2:

 I love that our tickers say 1 month, 3 weeks & whatever odd days!!!

Congrats on getting the trip paid for in full! :) It's so nice to go on vacation knowing that it was all paid for with cash and no credit cards!

Woo Hoo!!!

That is very exciting!! I love counting down the work days until a trip, 37 days is very doable. :thumbsup2
