Welcome Bags after guests have checked in?

It seems that we are going to be arriving on the same day as many of our guests, so far anyway. We are arriving Friday morning for our Monday wedding. I know by the time we get the welcome bags together some guests will have already checked in. How does Disney handle that? Do they call and notify them there is something to pick up? I don't want to do them and then they just get lost at the resort. Thanks!

You probably need to check with your planner and the hotel. I know when my daughter got married all of her guests stayed at three Disney property hotels. The delivered all the gift baskets and the front desk gave them to the guests as they checked in. If the guest has already checked in then they do notify them that there is something for them to pick up at the front desk. It seemed to work out fine and everyone did received their gift bag, but I would double check to make sure.

We did it, but it was definitely a hassle. Disney didn't seem overly enthusiastic about it, and we had to go through this round about process to do it. Basically, we shipped a package (with the welcome bag in it) addressed to each couple at the resort with their check in date on it. Everyone said they got it at check in. The reason we did it like that was because we had guests checking in before us, and those guests would not be allowed to open a package with our name on it. We also asked if we could just ship it to the manager to open, but again, they said they weren't allowed to open it since our name was on. So, being slightly sneaky, that's why we shipped it to each guest, they probably hated us, but it worked, lol.
