Hello fellow disbride disers!

So here is my question for those of you that are willing to share. I want to do a welcome bag or a welcome folder of some sort to share information. I know there are many of you that have done this. Can you share what you put in your welcome bags, where you go your supplies and about how much each bag cost you?

thank you

Teresa

I bought most of my stuff on sale or at the dollar store. Here is what is in my bags:

Bag from dollar store $.50
Door hangers designed by Marion here @ the Dis and printed by me
Welcome letter
Hidden Mickey pamphlet - printed by me
Theme park tips printed and designed by me
Crayons for kids 3 packs for $1 @ dollar store
Publix color books for kids - free!
Reese's cups, 1 per person bought @ Publix when they were BOGO with a coupon $3.99 for 2 bags
Hershey's bars, 1 per person bought @ Publix when they were BOGO with a coupon $3.99 for 2 bags
packs of gum, on sale cost $4 for 16 packs
Chips ahoy 4 packs, BOGO @ Publix so they cost $5 for two 12 packs
Bottled waters, 1 per person @ $3.49 per case
Bath & body works pocket bac sanitizers with straps, bought during their huge sale I think I paid 50 cents each or so.

The total for 16 welcome bags was $34, so they were $2.13 each.

I'm thinking of adding in granola bars too but the bags are getting full and we might run out of room.

YAY Jillian I am so glad you responded....ok so how did you print your door hangers?

do you want to share your hidden mickey pamphlet with your fellow swalphin?

I had Marion from the Disign forum make the door hangers for me and then I just printed them on thick paper from Michael's. The paper was super cheap, I think $3.33 for 100 sheets and the door hangers printed 2 per sheet so I only used 8 sheets. I forgot to add that I put "I'm Celebrating" pins in the bags too, they were free from MK.

I can e-mail you the hidden Mickey flyer. It is pretty awesome it folds up into a cute little pamphlet. Just send me your e-mail addy. :)

I only had 5 adult bags and 1 child's bag to make. Mine were a little more pricey. The bags themselves cost $15 which included free embroidery. I ordered them from www.parrottcanvas.net. The things I included came from Target's dollar section and I also wrote to a bunch of different companies explaining the situation and asking if there was any coupons they could give me...Most of the companies I emailed sent me free product coupons. I also made a book which was made from a $1 photo album that each page was the schedule for the day. I DIY the tank tops and they came from Old Navy on sale. Here is a picture of the welcome bags and contents including the folders. Overall I'd say I spent somewhere between $25-$30 per bag. Sorry the pics are so large..could not get them to resize

Maybe you've seen these already, but the Disney Wedding Blog has a bunch of good posts about welcome bags. They cover everything from costs to what should go in them. I love the idea of having something waiting for your guests when they arrive so I loved finding that info. on the blog. :)
