Weirdest names for people...(Inspired by the cat name thread)

I love this thread!

My mother went to school with a girl named Ima Hogg. How sad is that?

It seems as if everyone's parent/ grandparent went to school with an Ima Hogg. Either there are more than one or she really gets around. Actually a former Texas Governor James Stephen Hogg did have a daughter named Ima Hogg and was rumored to have one name Ura Hogg (but that one was only a joke).

The names that irritate me for little girls are Kennedy and Madison. What's up with naming your kids after dead presidents? What's next, "here's my precious little Nixon, or even worse Bush."

I bet I can top all of you with this one (but I'm sure the spelling will be sensored...) We had a patient come into our office & signed in & we had to call her name out loud when it was time for her to fill out new patient paper work. Well, we all kept pushing it off on each other & then some of us took off for the restroom because her name was too embarrassing to call out. We left the supervisor out there to do our dirty work & we all died laughing when we heard her call out "******" nice & loud! ::yes:: This person approached the window & said "it's pronounced VA-GEENA." It was spelled "******" though! :rotfl:  As I said, the rest of the office staff was just dying hiding behind the reception wall & laughing! (Sorry for the sensored word!)

He. he, he!! Mishetta, I think you win!! Did you happen to work for an ob-gyn cause that would make it even funnier? We got some real crazies when I used to work for a doctor also. We had a Princess (she was a cop), Happy, Happiness, Zbelewu and a Mia (last name is a part of a man's anatomy).

My mom's boyfriend is a chiropractor and he's Dr. Payne. I think that's funny.

DH went to a urologist named Dr Handler! :o And my family Dr as a kid shared an office with two surgeons, Dr Gash and Dr Blood.
I went to grade school with a boy named Ignatius Xavier. Why would you do that to a child?

Hope this wasn't posted already... froom a hospitals website:

Poor Baby

And for those of you who don't know the last 4 words of the name are drug references.

I had a friend who's daughter was Brooke Lynn.
And a really sweet lady I knew was Fannie LaFlash---sounds like a stripper.

I have had people ask me if my son is named after presidents.
I didn't even realize until someone pointed it out to me that all 3 of his names (first, middle & last) are last names of former presidents (well, of course I knew the last name was!!)
Actually I did know his first & middle name were too, but just really never thought about it like that...just really liked the names.
BTW his first & middle name is Jackson Adam (Andrew Jackson & John Adam(s) are the presidents)
And then our last name is the same as a former president also!

I knew a brother and sister whose names are Teeny and Ricochet! LOL.

Used to be a local Sheriff Deputy named Rivers Brown , when I worked in the recovery room at a local hospital a woman named her baby Delladamone after a drugshe was given.

I also know a secretary named Rusty Gash:rolleyes:

Steve :firefight

The ones I know seem rather tame after some of the ones I've read....

Gunnar - nephew
Autumn - neice
Dr. Dye - vet
Dr. Smart - optomatrist
Camille Sophia - neice, she's only 2, and to be saddled with an "old lady" name (IMHO) is :( . It doesn't quite roll off the tongue).

My mom is laughing while I read her this thread. She works in the election dept and sees tons of names when people register to vote. Some of her favorites

Saharamoon (one word)

Misty Dawn

Lovely

Princess

Windy

Bimbo (last name)

Madigan

Some of these names are just awful!!!

I've always hated the ones where the men really, really wanted boys...
Freddia (yes, Dad was Fred)
Bobbette (she was named Bobbette the 2nd since she couldn't be a Junior)

But the all-time worst name I've ever heard was Lavoris - spelled & pronounced exactly like the mouthwash!

My sister-in-laws second cousin is married to a guy who's legal first name is "Booger". For years I thought she was pulling my chain about this, then her mom told me that it was true. Can you imagine?

Anne

I work for a place that keys in new hires and I've run across a woman named Sunshine as well as one named Marijuana.

I once had my groceries check out by a cashier by the name of Champagne and another time in another store we had a cashier named Tequila.

Let's see besides my own name ;) I've meet kids named:
Sterling
Shiloh
Harper
Landon(actually a cousin)
Rhianon
Rayleigh
Rileigh(both girl names)
Enchantra
Rayce
Timberly(girl)
Keller

That's all I can think of for now. Although Dania pales in comparision to today's lot, back 25 years ago in school it was the worst most my friends had heard :(

I actually like the name 'Sterling', but then that was my maiden name.

I hate the name Keagan. I keep hearing kids named that and I can't get Keagal excercises out of my head.

And another friend has a kid named Braxton. Weren't those a type of contraction??? Did she get THAT caught up the the pregnancy books??

Nothing wrong with Landon. This name has been used in our family since the early 1800's as a first name.
I have come across students with the following names;
King Herod
Little Tommy
Ptolemy(Cleopatra's brother)
