weird thing with hallmark ornaments

Im a big collector of hallmark oranments

every yr I usually get anywhere between 6 and 10

so this yr Im putting them away and one I didnt even open from this yr looked familair

so I looked through another box sure enough I had it

but I didnt think I bought 2 by accident

so I looked at the boxes one was from 2013 and other was 2016 same box same ornament funny thing same price

I thought the ornaments were new every yr--my DH said maybe they just found a bunch of them and made new boxes and sold them as this years!!!

I emailed hallmark about it Im anxious to see what they have to say

its the cinderella castle with light and sound

that was so strange

any one ever hear of this

The Cinderella Castle was so popular that they reissued it this year with a new 2016 box. Some ornaments do show up again the next year because of popularity. For example, this year, the children's ornaments with the numbered years (I am One) are the same design as last year though some have a different paint job. Other older ornaments are sometimes reissued with the same design but with a different paint job. These are called repaints.

That explains why the Cinderella castle ornament my daughter got for Christmas was already here. I didn't think I had bought any ornaments this year.

I was glad they reissued the Castle ornament. I have one but it's missing from when we moved over a year ago. I kept it out all year long to get a little Disney fix by pressing the button. I bought a new one this year. If the other shows up sometime, I'll have one for the tree and one to keep out.
