A local drying cleaning business in a nearby rural(ish) town uses Cinderella on their sign. This has bothered me for years but I had never really thought about it.... this can't be legal, right? I remember that one company that hired out characters dressed as Disney characters getting in trouble; this has to be similar, right? She is right on the front signage and they have 2 locations within a couple mile stretch.

Does it look like the Disney Cinderella? Because she was a character in a story a loooong time before for it was a Disney movie.

Yes, I should rectify...it's the famous pic of her with her blue dress on when she looks down at it and holds out the sides for the first time

I would imagine this is a copyright or trademark violation but if they are small enough and don't come to Disney's attention they can probably get away with it.

There is a restaurant here near Cleveland that uses Disney's "waltograph" font, which I am pretty sure is copywriten, but since they are small and local they can probably fly under the radar.

Disney can't send a cease and desist if they don't know they are violating the trademark/copyright.

We had a flyer through the door for a local driving instructor who used the 'Waltograph' font :lmao:

It got my attention but I can already drive ;)

Why move to Florida and give up the opportunity to have it snow on April 7th and then be 50 and sunny April 8th?

You know, I have no idea! But I got a cold just thinking about it

We have a diner near us called the "peter pan diner" and to boot they have a big 6 foot (never knew he was that big:lmao:) poster of him outside the place a few towns away from us. I too have always wondered if this was legal??
