Weird question...bringing luggage into resort restaurants?

What is the protocol for this? Has anyone else done this?

I want to go to the Grand Flo Cafe on my departure day. I need to head to the airport around 11:30. I've tried to calculate leaving my hotel, going to breakfast, and then back to my hotel, and it just seems like a waste of time. So I was thinking of just checking out of my hotel, and Ubering to the Grand, and then to the airport straight from there.

But do they have issues with people bringing in luggage? Do they have a place to store it? It'll just be me, so not a ton of luggage to account for.

That would be a waste of time. I doubt they'd allow you to bring it all into the restaurant, but it would be very easy to leave it with bell services at GF (in the lobby), have them hold it for an hour, and get it from them on your way directly to the airport.

It probably depends on your luggage - a small bag or backpack is probably fine, but a suitcase probably less so. I agree that bringing it with you makes a lot more sense than going back to your resort.

I also agree with the prior poster - drop it off with bell services on your way into the resort and pick it up on the way out. They’ll be happy to hold it for you since you’re eating at the resort (and will likely have an ADR).

I'm pretty sure that Bell Services at the Grand will hold the bags for you. I wouldn't expect there to be any place in the restaurant to keep them though.

I wasn't sure if they would hold them if I'm not actually staying there, but it's good to know they can!

Definitely will hold it. In fact, depending on how big the bag is, if you bring it to GFC when you check in, they may tell you to check it at BS

We leave stuff at bell services at other hotels all the time - you're good!

I just did this at AKL while having breakfast at Boma. CM was totally on board and luggage was stored where it was quickly accessibke when we came back 90 minutes later!
