Now, I know most of you will say no it is not weird for adults to go to WDW without children. I am 29 and my sister is 32, we just took a trip together because we love Disney and we wanted to go. I was telling someone about our trip today, and she seemed to think it was strange that we don't have kids, yet we went to WDW.

I can't wait for the day that I do have kids to take to WDW, someone to pass on my Disney-mania legacy to, but for now, I will enjoy it without kids.

So do you think it is strange for adults to go to WDW without kids??

we dont think so,, but our 13 yr old dd is haveing fits because our next trip is being planned to not include her.

Ditto! Me and Jennymom have planned our next trip without them.

The best trip I ever had to Disney with with my two best friends last Nov...no kids....it was sooooo relaxing. The only fight I had to break up was who ordered the Bloody mary and who ordered the Mimosa :rotfl2:

I don't think it's weird, but the past five trips I've taken to WDW have been without kids. I go with a good friend, because we're both Disney freaks!

Not at all! There are plenty of things for adults to do that you wouldn't be able to do with kids. To me WDW is kinda like The Wizard of Oz, its for the young and the young at heart  :mickeyjum

Not at all. I used to take a trip even year with my mom (in my 20's and her in her 40's). In 2005 I was there two separate time with girlfriends - all of us in our 20's & 30's. We all had a great time. I hope some day my husband and I will be taking our own kids there, but even without kids we'll still be there every year. I do try to take my niece and nephew every couple of years, because it's a very different (and still very fun) trip with kids.

I've gone without the kids! It's just as much fun! :) :sunny:

I don't think it's weird at all. I don't have kids and I still go every year.

I go every year (that we're not otherwise involved) with my brother, and we're both in our late 30's early 40's. No kids. We have a great time!

Personally, I would LOVE to go without the kids. No stroller, no "Hey Mama", no bathroom breaks every time we see a bathroom, I could go on & on. ;) Sbella

Well if I didnt have kids, I would not think it would be weird at all. When I was single I went a couple of different times just with friends. I also went just with a boyfriend 2 times(2 dift boyfriends LOL)...But now that we have 3 kids, I could not imagine leaving them at home while me and my husband went.
They love Disney as much as me. I would be heartbroken to be there without my kids, and they would be so sad to know I was there without them. Where we go, they go. We travel only once a yr, so they always travel with us.

nothing wrong with it.

We (me and hubby) leave tomorrow for Disney all by ourselves :cool1: no kids :thumbsup2 Our honeymoon after being married 20 years :lovestruc

I think it will be so relaxing not having to keep kiddos happy 24/7 :thumbsup2

The only people who really think it's weird are the people who've never even been to Disney and they think it is a small park with a few rides like Dumbo. Or, by the people who have been to Disney once and do not like amusement parks. I love how people make such judgements without knowing anything about the parks and how they cater to all ages.

What is truly weird is the people who NEVER go to Disney but have kids (barring financial reasons of course). This would be my MIL. And she makes sarcastic "remarks" like "Oh, I was such a bad mom for never taking my kids to Disney." I always put on my most angelic smile and say "Yeah, you were."

She has no concept of Disney whatsoever. She would make this type of remark if I went down there on my own--Why would you go without kids?

Lets see - in college, about 10 of us, then With sister and 2 other adults; then honeymoon; then 10th anniversary :sunny:

Not at all!! DH and I went to WDW for our Honeymoon and went 3 more times before DS was born (even once when I was pregnant!). We love WDW and I've never once felt awkward...okay, maybe a little when Hercules asked me if my autograph book was really for me. I hate when I hear people without kids say, "Oh, we're waiting to go to WDW after we have kids." Boy, are they missing out! We went to WDW for the first time with DS last December. It was such a different trip than the times we went before he was born. WDW was almost completely new to us going with a 2.5 year old!

Nope not weird... I've been twice with no kids(solo) and DH & I (secretly) can't wait until the kids are out of the house for our first Adult trip!!! :rolleyes1

ABSOLUTLY NOT!!!!! :sad2:

I'm hoping my DH and I can take an adult's only trip to WDW at the beginning of next year. There are so many things adults can do, just like there are so many things for children to do.

Before we had kids, my DH and I went to WDW w/o children and we had a blast :mickeyjum !!! I think Walt Disney would be happy that he created a place for all people to enjoy regardless if they have children or not!!! :)
