Weird laundry ?

I am extremely particular w/ laundry. Everything gets checked over to see if it needs to be it w/ Spray n' Wash. Washed w/ only like colored clothes, inside out, of course ;) and then most everything either perfectly laid out to dry or hung up to air dry.
I spend way too much on the M's clothes to not be particular.
Me ,on the other hand, have 2 lovely pairs of ragid jeans that I wear to work w/ the t-shirt of my choice in a daily basis. Good thing companies think computer people can't be trusted to dress-up. :rotfl:
So, I suppose that if you were washing DH's pants, you would have taken his brand new razr phone out of his pocket so it would still work.

We are still bickering about whether it was my fault or his irresponsibility that caused the problem. Wanna guess at which side I'm on? Truthfully, I think it was God's way of showing him that I was right and he didn't need a razr phone just because all of the other lenders had them. :worried:

There are only two types of clothes: clean clothes and dirty clothes. Dirty clothes go in the washer regardless of color or their purpose in life. Clean clothes go upstairs to get dirty again.
Amen to that!!!

Clothes go in the wash the way they came out of the hamper unless particularly crumpled up (then I'll uncrump them whichever way is easier inside out or the right way)

Clean clothes get turned right side out when folding EXCEPT for underwear and socks...they're on their own to figure those out :teeth:

OUCH. That was a costly error that HE made. I'm with you on this one mom!

I never check pockets. After many years of fighting with my kids about getting cell phones (we had Tracfones) hubby and I finally broke down and got them each a phone this month with a family plan from Verizon. My daughter has dropped one of our cordless phones (land line) in the bathtub 2 times (luckily she didn't destroy them either time) and I've told her, well both of them really, ruin your cell phone, lose your cell phone. If it ends up in the laundry, they're done! I'll pay the $125 per line and cancel them.

I read this earlier and was still laughing thinking about it as someone posted, Amen to that below. :rotfl2:

Ouch! I do not go through DH's pockets so that could have happened to me too. Did ya follow up w/ "well I guess you will be doing your own laundry now?" :rotfl2:

I throw them in the washer, slam the door shut before anything can jump back out at me, and push the start button. That's how I do my laundry!! :woohoo:

:rotfl: I do laundry exactly like you!!! I have always said "I do laundry like a man".

I shouldn't admit this because I am very particular about laundry, sorting, not drying in a dryer, literally washing many articles one piece at a time etc..... but....

I don't mate socks and I don't sort undies. I wash all that and I toss it into a big hamper. I keep the hamper at the top of the steps and if anyone in the house wants to sort thru it to get their things, well, there it is. Usually, everyone gets out of the shower in the morning and hunts thru this hamper to find their undies/socks for the day. :rotfl2:

I've always said if I hit the lottery, I'd buy new socks and under clothing (I don't prewash any of that) new and we'd just toss em at the end of the day.

He'd "let" me ruin 100 razr phones before he'd ever start doing his own laundry. I once was so mad at him that I went on strike. I didn't do his laundry or make his meals for 2 weeks before he came back grovelling for forgiveness. He did one load before he decided that he didn't like takeout OR doing laundry.

I also leave socks crumpled up. My socks are loose, so I don't have to worry if they actually got clean or not. If others in the house want to wear dirty socks, that's their problem. I've also been known to give back wet socks when they were in a bunch and not dried at the end of the cycle. :cool2:

That is exactly like me. I turn everything right side out including socks but i don't sort socks or underwear. Every morning before showering everyone just sorts through the "sock" basket and grabs a pair of socks and undies for the day. I also made the decision about 2 years ago that everyone wears whit socks and undies no exceptions. So much easier this way. I mark oldest DS undies and socks with black permanent marker and younger DS socks and undies with a green one. DD has a pink mark on hers. Everyone just looks for their color.

:scratchin That's a great idea to just fold um the way I find um! My 14 year old Ds likes to take his shirts off and throw them in the hamper (I know, I should at least be happy they make it to the hamper) inside out and I get tired of constantly having to turn them the right way when I take them out of the dryer to fold them. Knowing DS, if I leave them folded inside out, he will probably not realize it and put it on inside out and go to scholl that way! :rotfl2: Oh Well!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I've done this. three times. I went through the whole day each time and no one said a word. :(

I wash them how I find them. inside out or rightside out. :confused3

The way that the clothes are put into the laundry bin is how they get laundered... and folded after they come out of the dryer. My DH used to wonder why all of his underwear and tshirts were inside out when he took them out of the drawer. They still are in them that way... he just understands now that I'm not his mother and I'm not going to "right" his laziness. BTW, if one sleeve is in and one is out... that's how they make it back to the drawers, too.
I do this, too. Doesn't phase my husband, but it has saved me many broken nails from turning jeans right side out. I intentionally turn my clothes inside out, and hang them inside out so they don't get as much lint and pet hair. We have several pets, and, believe it or not, it makes a difference.
