Weird Experience tonight at Tower of Terror

HI! Well, you all will probably think I am crazy but here goes anyway. TOnight while I was at work, a fellow CM and I Darlene were sending other cast member of our final ride throughs for the night at ToT. We had sent the last car of CM's and Darlene and I were alone in the boiler room. I had said to her that I had thought tower was haunted because when I had done ride throughs and was on the 5th Dimension, prior to going into the drop shaft, I had hear voices...As we were talking, we hear a chain rattle and felt a cold breeze. Needless to say we booked it out of there!

When Darlene and I made it downstairs, we were talking some other CM's who stated we have a resident spook named Bob who tends to play random jokes on CM's. I guess this was part of my initiation.

Has anyone else heard stories like this? I hope I am not going nuts!

sounds like your fellow CMs were having a little fun with you...probably was initiation. We did it when I worked in Ad/lib (adventureland/liberty square) when I trained for Haunted Mansion they tried to freak me out..but couldnt!

I heard that an electrician died while working on original construction of ToT and WDW kept it hushed. Its said that when they tried to remove his remains the body was like 10x heavier than expected, as though he didn't want to leave. ToT is said to be haunted ever since.

In fact, I heard the 'random drop' feature now marketed was always part of the ride. WD could never engineer it out of the ride so they decided to use it to promote the ride - new improved!

Story goes that the electrician is behind the random drops and some other unusual happenings in ToT. Nobody's been hurt, though, so the speculation is that he's just trying to make it the best thrill ride ever. One that he didn't live to see completed.

I have heard about Bob. The story that I heard is very similar to RJake1's, although I think it was a mechanic. Many other CM's have experianced Bob's mischeiviousness. On a side note, has anyone heard about that Imagineer that was working on PotC and a wooden beam fell on him and he died? I think his name is George...maybe I'M the one that's crazy...

I have also read stories on here about ToT being haunted. It had something to do with a game sitting on one of the tables in the hotel lobby. If a game piece is removed from the game, usually the next day one of the shafts is closed for mechanical reasons. Do a search, I know it's here somewhere.

I remember hearing that story a while ago. Apparently, if you say "George isn't real" while riding, it brakes down. I haven't tried because I always seem to forget to do so, maybe I'll remember when I'm down there next week.
