Weird college program question

My daughter just finished her college program and LOVED IT!! She applied and is now officially working at Magic Kingdom!! This is all great but her friend from here in Colorado just moved down to Florida for the January college program. She is nervous tho because she has a MIP (minor in possession of alcohol) ( I didn't know what that was until today. Hahaha)anyway will that keep her from being able to stay in the college program? She got it in Colorado while she was in college last year. Anyone know if this is going to be a problem for my daughters friend?? She is concerned. And how quickly would she know?

Did she declare it on her paperwork when she applied? If not it may be a problem, and she would find out within a day or two of check-in when they run her background check.

if she did not claim it on her application, then unfortunately it could be a problem. they will run a background check and if it's tied to her, it will come up. it could be an automatic term for lying on an application.

As others have said if she claimed it on her forms (or at casting when they ask is there anything you want to claim before we finger print you) then she is fine. If it comes up in her background check and she didn't tell them before it is a instant termination offense. A handful of kids each program get sent back home because of they with hold the truth and something is found in their background check.

I also have a question similar to this. My daughter got a marijuana possession charge but the case was dismissed after she did her community service. It is technically still on her record but there is no criminal conviction.

We plan on declaring the information before we head down to check-in day, how strongly can this affect chances for getting in?
Would it be wise to explain the situation thoroughly to the interviewer??
Should you declare on the Web based interview or the interviewer??

Thank you!

When you fill out your application, there are 3 specific questions that you are asked.
1. Can Disney run a background check on you?
2. Have you ever been convicted or plead guilty to a crime?
3. Are there currently criminal charges pending against you?

If you answer Yes to #2 or #3, you will be provided with additional paperwork to fill out, regarding the nature of the offense. The paperwork will be reviewed by Disney, and depending on the offense, you may still be accepted.

Once you get to the Casting building on your check-in day, you will be provided with one last chance to change your answers before you go to the background check station.

If you answer "No", and then the information comes up when they do the background check, you will almost certainly be terminated and sent home.
