I just looked through my regularly received DVC by Resale email as I have a friend who may be interested in BCV. They had only one BCV resale listed. So then I looked at the Timeshare Store's listings, and they only have one or two which aren't pending.

that seems weird to me. Is this normal?

I think that BCV resales tend to be lower than other resorts given the proximity to Epcot and The Studios, SAB and it being a smaller resort than BWV. It also commands a higher price thru Disney and the waitlists for addons are longer than most other resorts.

There are two BCV listings out approximately 62 listings for DVC by Resale.

I lost count on TSS, but I think it was one or two BCV listings for over 170 total listings.

I'm in the process of buying another BCV contract right now. I e-mailed several brokers with the number of points and use year I was looking for and a couple had contracts available that met my needs but they were not on their websites.

BCV resales sell quickly for the reasons listed above. Many contracts sell before making it to the resale websites. If you want BCV, contact the brokers and have them find a contract for you. Don't wait for one to show up in the listings.

I noticed the lack of BCV contracts too. We are thinking about selling our contracts there and wanted to get a feel for the going rate.

I am on a waitlist for BCV Oct UY, My guide said it will probably be the Fall. It has already been 6 weeks. It must be a long waitlist.:scared1:

I think this is the main reason why you see so few resales on the brokers' websites.

I know BCV is a small and popular resort. However, this is really interesting, I have seen many more BCV listings on these sites in the past. Perhaps the economy is not affecting DVC like some people predicted..... If people are dumping contracts, it sure is not showing on the resale sites.

This is exactly correct - I know The Timeshare Store has a waitlist of people wanting BCV contracts. I recently sold one and it sold it less than an hour and never made it to the website. FYI - I sold a 50 point contract - Oct. UY - with all points coming 10/1/08 and it sold for $100 per point.
