Weird and Ninja’s Pre-Disneymoon [Completed!]

Woo hoo, signs (literally!) of Disney! :cool1: I just realized I kind of made that into a pun, haha. :rolleyes1 I have always loved that one for TOT. Gosh, they've had that thing FOREVER.

OK, now I am craving some McDonald's hashbrowns. Those are so good.

Have a good last day of school tomorrow!

Your update of hashbrowns reminded me of the dead one at the beginning of the TR. May it rest in peace. :sad2:

Yay! We're almost to a park! I agree with you on Epcot's sign. It has taken me awhile to figure out what those things behind the word "Epcot" are. At first, I thought it was b/c of Soarin' but then, I noticed they have those near the front entrance and you walk under them. I really don't know what they are though? :confused3

What a cliffhanger...you must have watched Soap Operas at some point in your life because you know just when to sign off and leave us wanting more! popcorn::
Just curious... does anyone know why they are called Soap Operas? :confused3

Horray! You're in Disney! I love seeing the signs :cloud9:

yea, Epcot's colors for its sign are pretty dull. BUT like you I would be upset if they ever changed it, so I really don't care if it's the most boring sign of the four parks

Yay for Epcot!! Hash browns from McD's are my ultimate guilty pleasure. I could polish off 10 in a seating, easily.

Yay we made it to Disney! :woohoo:

Hope your last day of school went well! :goodvibes

McDonalds hashbrowns are so amazing! I bought some frozen hashbrowns at Wal Mart once that looked just like the McDonalds ones but they were not nearly as good. McDonalds must have a secret ingredient I don't know about. *Sigh* I just love that WDW sign! So excited to hear about your day at Epcot!

All right we are at epcot--or at least at the gates
Love the shot of the Tron monorail:lovestruc:lovestruc
hope we will be able to ride on one
Good luck with the last day of school and graduation

Floridascgirl--soap operas are called because when 'radio serials' really began to catch on--1930's so many of them were sponsored by soap manufactures--by the way the first soap opera- 1920ish was in Chicago and sponsored by a margarine company

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2

I don't care for McDonald's but it can be okay in a pinch.

I love OG! Again with the OG.

Yes, they have had that TOT thing for a while! I think that's another one of those things that I'd like to see changed but would be upset if they did!

hey Rachel! Came over from my TR! Alrighty, going back to catch up!

WELCOME! Woohoo, glad you made it over here!

We're on Disney property!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

It's about time, huh. Haha. When you update and I finally have a chance to read it, I'm always pushed to write! But now school's done, that won't be a problem!

Haha, oh yeah, I forgot about that poor squished one! Guess I blocked it out of my memory.

Yeah, I still don't know what those things are behind the Epcot sign. Funny thing is that it wasn't until the last trip that I paid attention to the signs in the first place! It was because of DIS! Beforehand, I ignored all those details.

I also thought of that poor squished hashbrown.

Yay! for Epcot! :goodvibes

I wonder if some animal scurried on along to chomp on it. That would make me feel better about the hash brown's fate!

Haha, nope, no soap operas for me, but I did go through a phase of One Tree Hill, so that's probably soap opera-y enough!

I haven't seen the AK sign in a WHILE, and even then, I've only seen it once! I think Weird and I will have to go there and make sure we look at the sign!

Yay for Epcot!! Hash browns from McD's are my ultimate guilty pleasure. I could polish off 10 in a seating, easily.

So could I! Haha, I think people would be grossed out though. We'll just go buy 20, and we'll devour them together!

LOVE your writing style!

And I'm a picture junkie, so I thoroughly enjoy your photos! :)

Thank you, and WELCOME! I love tons of pics in TRs too, but I like having something to read as well. It goes back to how I liked children's books too! Good amount of text on the page with a picture scattered here and there!

Yay we made it to Disney! :woohoo:

Hope your last day of school went well! :goodvibes

Yep, it did, thanks! It was a little hectic with so much to do. The kids are done, but the teachers always have to stay after to clean up the room. Weird took off from work, so he came in to help me out.

Isn't it so deceiving? We get frozen ones once in a while too, just to satisfy our craving. But it's never the same. Of course, we heat them up the "healthier" way in the oven or toaster oven, so I'm sure that has something to do with it!

Haha, learn something new every day! I didn't know that that's why they're called soap operas! Thanks!

YES!!!!! We are going to a park! I look forward to seeing ho your day at Epcot goes!

I'm sure the pics and stories will be more interesting than travel ones!

I don't care for McDonald's but it can be okay in a pinch.

I love OG! Again with the OG.

There are some days that I just REALLY want McD's even though I know it's so bad for me. Those occasions are rare though; if I'm going to eat fast food, I usually go for Wendy's.

Monday, April 5: No Need for the Kennel!

Then we saw "the ball"! Now I know it's a geodesic dome because it was in all the WDW books I read. Plus, my DBF went to school for architecture! He did teach me that the guy who made it was named Buckminster Fuller! Here's the first picture with it.

This woman on the segway in the parking lot was like, "I'm cool; I don't need to hold on to the handlebars." Weird was extremely excited about this since he has a thing for segways.

We got our parking spot in Imagine and quickly unloaded ourselves out of that car! We were that much closer! Woohoo! During the walk to the front, we had to take a picture of Matt with the kennel sign though. I forgot the exact conversation, but Matt didn't know what a kennel was when we were back at home. We explained what it was to him. Then a little while later, he was being disobedient, so we said that when we were on vacation, we would drop him off at the kennel if he was going to be bad there! Haha.

We continued walking with the crowd. I have to say that I was also really glad that I was wearing my New Balance sneakers. I knew I would last longer than many people around me who were wearing flip flops!

IMG_1155.jpg

The bag line was a little bit lengthy since there weren't that many open, so dad took Weird's bag to wait (mom and I both had to have our bags checked as well) while Weird went off to get his ticket. I was curious to see what ticket he would get!

I had my first fun moment of the day with a CM. Since I had Mascot Mickey with me, the guard checked my bag and then said, "Take care of my boss for me, will ya?" I thought that was so funny!

IMG_6424-1.jpg

The next fun moment (at least IN the parks) was waiting with Weird at the window for his ticket. And of course, what character did he get? MINNIE!!! Haha, we got a kick out of this. Does anyone know if these are in a machine and they just come out automatically? Or is it picked off a stack and then swiped? Even though part of us wanted to know if he could've asked for a particular ticket, we also thought it was quite funny and entertaining for him to have Minnie. Of course, throughout the trip it didn't matter because one person held on to all the tickets for FastPass anyway.

What a beautiful morning to be in Epcot! I love that you see the gradual change of the color of that blue sky!

IMG_1158.jpg

We actually didn't stop to take pics with the topiaries in the front even though it was Flower & Garden Festival. It was bad, but I had seen all the pics of the topiaries on DIS (the actual DIS album of it so it was one pic after another), so I wasn't excited to see them in real life. They were much bigger in real life though! I was still in slight commando mode though and wanted to keep on going since the rides were on my mind!

IMG_1159.jpg

We continued walking.

IMG_1162.jpg

Where do you think we'll go first?

IMG_1163.jpg

Whoohoo, we're at a park!! :cool1:

First off, poor Matt being threatened with the kennel :lmao: ~ I'll bet he was on good behavior after that!

That lady cruising on the Segway cracked me up ~ she looks like she rides one everyday. :rotfl:

One little thing about the Epcot "ball" ~ my step-grandpa was an iron worker at the time it was being built and he got to help put some of it together. We think that's pretty cool. :)

Can't wait to hear about all the rides!

Hrm.....DH's favorite ride SE????????? Or the Cool Zone??? or...hrmmmm Ellen's Universe of Energy? No wait SE!

Poor DB!!! Haha he must have been so mad at you guys. I know my little brother would have thrown a fit back then if we told him we would put him in a kennel. Haha I would have tried how ever! Geez little brothers I swear! Not that he is little any more he managed to grow over a foot taller than me! He is 3 years younger than me and 6'2 and I'm only 5'0.....:(

Yay you're in Epcot!

That's such a funny thing the CM said to you :rotfl: It reminds me of the South Park episode with the Jonas Brothers, they were referring to Mickey Mouse as "the boss" too!
