Are there any discounts being offered better than the sign up fee of only $1 with 3 month contract? Are there any deals for husband and wife to both sign up? We're not interested in meetings, just online.
Thanks! :goodvibes

Okay, I found out that I can get $12 cash back through ebates and still get the above deal and a "free summer starter kit" (whatever that is.) Hopefully I can use that twice.

Anyone know of anything better? I think I will wait until tomorrow to sign up just in case someone knows of a better discount. :listen:

Are you sure the free kit comes with an online-only membership?

Sadly I have never known of any discount when more than one member of a household joins.

One little hint...although you don't *want* meetings, with online memberships you will pay forever. With meetings, once you're Lifetime, as long as you weigh in once a month at (or within a certain number of pounds of) goal, you are free. etools and everything. There are many people who go almost the whole way online-only, then join a meeting when they have 10+ pounds to go, and after they are Lifetime they show up at a meeting each month to continue their free status. It's worth thinking about.

But in the meantime, congrats on making the decision to join! While I do meetings, the program is the same and I *love* the program! My husband and I joined together as well and it's SO great. I did have to get used to the plain old fact that he does, and always will, get to eat much more than me. A bit painful at first, but then matching what he ate got me into this situation to begin with! Congratulations to both of you!!!

If you truly only want on-line and no meetings, have you considered trying out something free, like myfitnesspal? I used to do WW online, but cancelled it when I got pregnant with my second baby, and now that I am working on losing the weight, I am using mfp to track my food and exercise. But, I don't really care if I am counting points or calories, I just wanted something that allowed me to track and keep me accountable.

WW online worked well after my last baby, so I figure I'll just do what I know. Now that I've had another baby, I'm ready to lose weight (and will get to eat as much as my husband for a while because I'm nursing! Yay for nursing!)
Good tip on attending meetings for lifelong maintenance. I don't think it's for me though. I'd rather have the convenience of online. Maybe when I get to where I want to be, I'll use a free site to maintain.

I would also recommend that you check out myfitnesspal before you make a decision. This free online program worked very well for me.
