Been on WW for 7 weeks and have lost 22.8 pounds.. I will be hitting the parks in july but I still plan on staying on track with my points..

LMAO! :lmao: I'm subscribing! We're going in September and I hope to hit my 10% by then! I will hopefully be hitting my 5% this week!

I'll be there too. I am trying to loose as much as I can so I can not worry about eating at the world this time :-)

As much as I would like to agree with you, it's that kind of thinking that helped put me over the 300 mark. :scared1: I always let myself have a "great time."

I will be having fun (it is disney after all!) but I will be paying attention to what I'm eating. :flower3:

I agree, I feel I have to pay attention to what I'm eating and exercise this trip or I'll gain 7lbs again like last trip.

I am on WW and have lost 12lbs so far, hoping to reach my 10% (8 more lb.s) by the time i go to WDW in Aug. - i am an active walker/runner, so getting the activity points in won't be an issue while there -- but i think i will use my "no weigh-in pass" when i get back anyway.. LOL I am staying at the Poly, and if anyone's ever been, they know the great food they have in that concierge lounge!!! That alcoholic punch is to die for!!!!

That being said, i will definately watch my breakfast eating -- last time i ate a cinnnamon roll or two just about every a.m. from the lounge -- this time, i will choose rasin bran and fruit, and that way i don't feel guilty about eating (or drinking! LOL) my snacks later.. plus i plan on hitting the gym at the GF, since it will be too hot in Aug. to run outside.

I'm a lapsed Lifetime member who went to WDW in March of this year. I wore my WW pedometer everyday, except for arrival day. I figure we walked about 55 miles in 8 days (give or take a few to account for bumpy rides and possible innacurate placement of pedometer on my hip ;) ) and I earned between 5 and 8 Activity Points each day. We did not do commando park days and even had a leisurely afternoon by the pool (I went to DTD that afternoon) and another pool day after breakfast at Tusker House. I came back from that vacation up 2.8 pounds and I was ok with that. We were on the DDP and I did not count points or make the better choice. Had I skipped the frozen pina coladas with Chambord every night I probably would have maintained for the week :thumbsup2 However, MIL was on this trip with us so the pina coladas were a neccesity :rolleyes1

Oh, my people! I'm not taking a vacation from my body or my health, and I don't want to change my mentality to allow myself to overindulge just because I'm not at home. It is just too hard to get back into the weight loss mindset if I let myself get out of it. I've been reading the menus to pick restaurants that have healthful options and do plan on staying on track during my trip. All that extra walking will help negate the extra points that will be in the food just because it's restaurant food, but I won't be having dessert every meal or pigging out at buffets. (We are going to buffets, so I'll be exercising my self-control muscles!)

It's hard to get in the right mindset for weight loss, for me anyway. I've been reading The Beck Diet Solution and using that as a tool to help me adjust my thinking about food. I highly suggest it! It's using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and applying that to weight loss along with any sensible eating program.

I don't have a problem usually getting back into the mindset, but yeah I can understand what you are saying because at first I had the same problem. BUt now I allow myself to "enjoy" just a bit more on special occasions because if I didn't then I would fall off the Food Wagon all together. Plus alot of my family and friend traditions involve food, so since live is short I allow myself to slip on occasion and that is like:

1 vacation a year
my birthday
Thanksgiving

And even then I make "smarter" choices and don't pig out....unless there's bacon :-)

Do you think I can learn to be a Jedi before I go, and use mind tricks on myself to help me not overindulge at the buffets?
The force is not strong with this one! :yoda:

In the past (years ago) when I would be on the WW plan if I slipped up one day I had difficulty getting back on track. I would beat myself up about it and then I never could get back on track. This time around I'm losing the weight a little slower but I'm really incorporating it into my lifestyle. If I go out to eat with my family over the weekend I just make sure I'm really, really good about tracking my points for the rest of the week. Now I never totally pig out when I go out with them. I'm always mindful of the points. Sometimes I don't have the exact points but I just make the best selections that I can. Sometimes if I'm really unsure about something I don't eat the entire portion. I remember one day my family stopped for slurpees. I did not have enough points but I really wanted that slurpee. So I just filled the cup halfway and then paid for it. LOL I was satisfied because I was still having a slurpee but I did okay with the points. Having said all of that I will admit I'm nervous about FIVE consecutive days of not being able to really track my points. We purchased the quick service dining plan. I will just do the best I can each day and then really buckle down when I get back home.

I hit my 5% today AND I get to wake up early tomorrow to make my ADR's! What a great weekend! :rotfl:
