I'm always up a few pounds in the days before my cycle. For one thing, I retain water, as lots of people do. Also, my cravings for sweets get so much worse-like "Give me that dessert-I'm PMSing!" For the last few years, as my time of life dictates less regular periods, my weight has become my first indicator that TOM is coming. When my weight actually goes up and my cravings for sweets get super-strong, I've known that I'm about to get TOM.
