weight loss pattern I have noticed anyone else?

About a week ago I remember reading and responding to a thread about weight loss patterns and the infamous TOM. Anyway, I am not sure TOM has anything to do with mine although I have noticed pattern. I write all my weigh-ins on my calender so here goes.
10-8-03 (friday) 185 lbs.
10-17-02 (Friday) 181 lbs. 4 pounds loss
10-20-02 (monday) 183 lbs. 2 ponds gained
10-24-03 (friday) 179 lbs. 4 pounds loss
10-27-03 (monday) 181 lbs. 2 pound gain.

I know what your thinking.......the WEEKEND!
I do tend to go off alittle possile on saturdays but for the most not doing any BIG TIME cheating!
Anyone else experiencing this kind of pattern?
I got very frustrated that monday the 20 when I had gained it. but happy by friday. then yesterday came and I was out of the 170's. and that really pissed me off but I am currently thinking by friday I should be 4 pounds lighter. Is this type of fluxuating normal?

If I get weighed every day, it happens to me too. Sometimes I think it's the scale. If I lean one way I'm lighter than if I lean the other way. That's why we should only get weighed once a week, I guess. It's so frustrating!

I've been weighing daily and seeing a similar pattern for me also. I'm always UP Mon morning, but that weight is gone by mid-weed, from mid-week to Sat morning is when a 'new' loss shows up. I stay on program (Atkins) over the weekend but may consume a slightly larger volume of food. What I've determined is, WATER makes a difference. I have a hard time getting in all my water on weekends, with all the running around. M-F, because I'm at my desk at work, I drink LOTS and that's when the weight comes off. I'm no longer affected by TOM (praises be), so that water issue doesn't apply any longer.

I have noticed that at my current weight level, I can show as much as a 3lb gain just due to water! LESSON: look at the weight loss over the long haul and don't let daily weigh ins affect how you eat (just how you drink!).
