Debra: No way do I feel ignored! I am just glad you stopped by while on vacation! I am sorry to hear about the rain, but hopefully today will be nicer for you! Have a good time!
Maria: The soda thing is hard......I went a good 3 weeks so far, but I actually am taking the day 'off' and got myself a soda today. I figured once in awhile can't be all that bad, and I was jonesing for one today. I am probably going to consider having one a week on Friday's........gives me something to look forward to! I just don't want one to to lead to another......we'll see! Good luck getting in your workout! I did 4 miles this morning.....and it was tough staying on the TM the whole time......I was dripping sweat so bad, it was really hot today. I need to buy myself a fan soon....
Wendy: I am sorry to hear about your down time......nothing is more frustrating than wanting to get it done, and not being able to. My dsis is going through that right now. She was training really well for a marathon this weekend (hoping to PR and Boston Q) but hurt her hip in abs class and few weeks ago. She hasn't been able to run more than 2 miles a day since then. She is SO frustrated. She won't be able to run this weekend at all......I have been talking her down off the ledge daily since she hurt herself. Doesn't help when I tell her how good I feel right now........logging over 30 miles a week!
She doesn't want to hear it.........I don't blame her, but she keeps asking!!!!! Take it easy and work your way back slowly this time!
Vicky and Kim: Have a good race this weekend! Hope the weather is nice for you!
Cindy: Glad you are into the Jillian plan! I wondered what others would think about it! I have been liking it so far, but haven't gone all organic yet. I do look at prices, and if it's doable I will purchase the organic version. I like when the store specials are better and I can afford it!
AFM: As I said above....the TM was brutal today, but I happy to report that I stuck it out. I even got 2 workouts in yesterday, since my early TM time got interrupted with a late wake up call! So, I logged 6.5 miles yesterday between the 2 workouts, and 4 this am. I would like to get another workout in today, but I am not sure I will be able to. DS#1 has a baseball game tonight.....so it doesn't look likely. My weight is down a pound from last week, and I am in new numbers!!!!
I am happy with that. So, I lost a total of 20 pounds since January. It was slow going, and hard to do, but I am happier with a slow consistent weight loss......maybe I can keep it off this time!

I definitely didn't do any exercise but yoga, so I can't explain it. But, I don't want to go through that worried feeling because I knew I didn't try again. You can bet I'll be jumping on the TM tomorrow am for my run!
I love that quote! Yep, I realized pretty quickly I needed to be all about improving myself rather than beating others, 'cause that was just not going to happen

I always say there's a reason my mother didn't name me Grace...

P.S. Yay for the raise! Your good work is noticed and appreciated!
You give so much to WISH that I hope we can give a little something back to you. I can't imagine how frustrating it's been for you to have to be so inactive. I'm relieved to hear that your intense pain seems to be subsiding. And I do have to say that I love the Rx for a little Wii Fit cross-training. Just the excuse I need!
Up two pounds from the Stratford trip, which I'm hoping will shed fairly quickly, at least some of it. Lots of eating, starting with the decadent layout at breakfast at our B&B. And then lots of sitting for the plays. Even though I got up for a run every day before breakfast, my workouts were abbreviated, etc. Plus, there was the drinking. Turns out our innkeepers make their own wine, and give their guests bottles to enjoy.

The kids don't need a real dinner to be happy......grilled cheese is it's own food group at my house! ((((one of which they would eat every day without a complaint!)))))) I can't say that for dh....he is still a big fan of real dinner!
I could not run, but I did go at my normal walking speed, so that's a bonus. The bad part is I feel totally worn out now, and sore. The very good news is dh called to set up a service call, and the technician talked him through getting it down again on the phone, and it now seems to be completely repaired!
calls...
