Maria: I just know that you're not going to read this when you're gone, but I still have to say

for 5 lbs./5 days weight loss! Have a great time!
Kim: Great to have you along on the weight-loss challenge. We'll be training for the Goofy together, too, so lots of support for one another!

Congratulations both on the pound and the diet soda abstinence. I'm sure the weight loss will kick in next week, too, once your body adjusts to your change in sugar intake.
Vicky: First, thanks for the information on the split stay/luggage situation. If we do an extended stay--and we're up in the air--then we'll do a split. Although we tend to get a rental car, too. So much undecided. Just saw
The Proposal. A fairly strong rom-com, if you like the genre. Sandra Bullock is at the top of her game and I'm beginning to like Ryan Reynolds. I wish the script were a little sharper, but I had a couple of laugh-out-loud moments. (Oh, but for the era of the true screwball comedy.)
Congrats on the continued joy of clothes shopping. Again, all about the positive reinforcement. And I have to say I'm impressed that DF does that kind of cooking. Take-out is DOOD's speciality.
Cindy: Let's put this into perspective. You LOST weight this week, after the birthday cake incident. Excellent news, just excellent. And you scored lots of BL challenge points. That's progress you (and all of us) can track!
Sarah: WTG on the 1.5 pounds. That's a nice substantial weight loss, especially considering your stressful work week and liquid solace. I'm sending some PD your way that you're not one of the ones to be laid off, but it's stressful no matter what happens.
Amy: Your scale died because it's been shamed into retirement.

You've been rocking your goals for a while now, and adding that multi-vitamin and tracking the fiber will just help out!
Jeanne: 3 pounds!

That's a great way to kick off that photo-finish goal. Your broccoli, linguini, garlic pasta dish sounds heavenly. I think of garlic as one of those magic foods--flavorful without all the calories, and good for you in so many other ways.

And a woo hoo for the vitamin/supplment double header! Excellent.
As for me: Okay, looks like I'll be the one setting the bottom of the curve this week. I lost the 1/2 pound I gained from this week, but no more. So a net loss of 0 pounds. Or in the positive spin, I've maintained.
Put me down for 36 points, too. The train trip home was bad for water intake, I was unable to guarantee the fiber for one day, and it turns out that eating late at night is one of my Achilles heels--especially on the road. Who knew?

Well, now I DO know and can strategize that doesn't involve staying up later.

Very useful stuff.
I've yet to crack open the
Gorgeously Green Diet, but it's due at library Monday, so guess what I'm doing tonight? Report to follow.
I'm quoting Beth here, just for everyone's tracking convenience.
So we have several people in for a Biggest Loser Cyber competition...... I can set up some ideas, if you all want to tell me what you think of them.
The weigh in will be once a week. Nancy and I decided on Friday, since a good week of eating right lent itself to a good weigh in on Friday. I would be willing for any day of the week.
We also count points each day. You can accumulate 6 points a day. The points are awarded for the following:
1) Drink 64 oz of water a day.
2) Take a mulit-vitamen.
3) Get 25 g of fiber a day
4) 1 point for 15 minutes of exercise (You may earn 2 points a day 30
min of exercise each day)
We then have a floater point each week that changes (such as dairy intake, fruits/veggies, etc) If you are having trouble with a certain thing, we will make it a point thing.
We don't need to post our weight per se, but just our weight loss each week. I will include my weight just for accountability sake, but you all don't have to do that.
We can keep count of point winners each week, weight loss winners each week, and the at the end of the competition the point leader and weight loss winner.
We can include a exercise challenge each week for bonus points if you want to.
How about a six week challenge to start, and if we like it, we can do another one?
Let me know what you think.
Beth
