For those of you that have used this service before, were you happy with it? I would like to order breakfast food, snacks, deli meat, fruit, milk, juice, bread, etc.. They don't have the same stores there as I do locally, so I won't be sure of their brands/prices, etc., but figure most things will be easy enough to substitute.

Also, has anyone ever microwaved hot dogs? Are they gross or would they be okay to have by the pool one afternoon? We will be staying at AS Music (family suite) and it looks like the food court will be closed for renovation.

Thanks. :)

Also any tips you have for good things to order to have in the room and carry into the park are appreciated. I'd like to have breakfast in the room, lunch at the pool or carry into the park and sit down dinner (and sometimes swap those around).

I read about garden grocer on another blog. Look them up online. There is a $14. delivery charge. You can see the prices on line. It sounds pretty good. I'll be using it in June. Order 2 months ahead and get 10-15% off.

My kids cook hotdogs in the microwave. Stab the hot dog 2-3 times with a fork
so it doesn't explode. Cook about 30 seconds. Practice at home before you leave. It will be different times for different microwaves.

We used WGS our last trip and really liked them! I had Walmart selected for our store but when everything was delivered she said Walmart was out of several things I wanted and she went to Publix instead. The prices were comparable and she waived the delivery fee for the unexpected change. I did mention in my online ride that it was ok to make substitutions if need be. I look forward to using them again :)

Microwave hot dogs aren't bad, just don't microwave them in the bun (it will get hard)

Thanks everyone. :) We've used GardenGrocer a few times before but I figured I would give this company a try. Right now they have a deal online if you are at least 6 months out from your trip to buy a $200 gift card for $125 and it can be used to also pay the delivery fee and tip. We are going for 7 nights and if we also get a couple of bottles of wine or margarita ingredients we will be spending that much.

I figure for all of us to eat one counter service would be $50 or more, this seems like a bargain. :faint:

I don't know why I have gotten it in my head I would like to have hot dogs by the pool, I think we will give this a try.

Queeneileen, I will be sure to stab them a few times with a fork. Exploding hot dogs does not sound good. :rotfl:
