WeGoShop & Garden Grocer

I saw on WGS that the delivery fee is $22 if under $100. Do they have a MINIMUM order? Also....when they go shop at the story you choose, do you get the current sale prices that the store offeres or does WGS have specific pricing regardless of which store?

I can't seem to find Garden Grocer's delivery fee or min order on their site. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Anyone know?

Is one better than the other??

We used WeGoshop in June. They went to Publix bc I did not specify a particular place. A grocery card was swiped so I get some of my things with a sale price. They did not have a minimum. GG did of I think $40 and I didnt need that much.

Garden grocer: Grocery delivery is FREE for orders over $200! We currently offer delivery to much of Central Florida (including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Hotels) for a fee of only $12.00. (See "Service Area" for specific locations.) We also deliver to area college campuses!

Garden grocer is $12 for a minimum of $40, I think and it is free if you order over $200. We bought a couple of cases of water and some breakfast items (milk, bagels, yogurt, fruit) . It was very convienient.

We used wegoshop about a year ago and I talked to Marge the owner ahead of time and she is willing to go wherever you want her too.

She has a set fee by dollar amounts purchased, small additional fee for shopping more than one place and will buy the specific brand you want her to and only substitue if you say it's okay. We specified okay to substitute on some items but not others. We had Marge shop at WalMart and BJ's. she showed up with our order absolutely perfect, and some things even cheaper than what I pay at home. Her and her hubby unloaded for us, stocked up our fridge and had each reciept for us to varify. I could not have been happier with her service. She also included a discount coupon in our paperwork if I needed her to deliver something later in the week. I "toot her horn" each and every chance I get. My kiddos like what they like and I was thrilled to have her willing to shop were I wanted her to. Can't go wrong with Marge and wegoshop.com

The Garden Grocer order that we just placed was for $149.00 worth of groceries and the delivery fee was $12.00.

We've used WeGoShop on our last two trips. I agree Marge is great. I think the last time I looked at their website they said they will match other places delivery fees, so I asume she means Garden Grocer. My kids are picky too and like what they like and Marge was able to get exactly what we asked for. We didn't need too much since we were on the dining plan the last time we went. We just needed breakfast items and some snacks and drinks for the evenings. I know Marge has made it more known that a tip is expected. I don't remember what I tiped her last time. I plan to use her service on our next trip in Oct. Which reminds me I need to start making my list.

Go with Marge and Wegoshop and you can't go wrong. She will go to the store of your choice and will charge you what the store charges, so if it's on sale you get the sale price.

Obviously I like the fee better at Garden Grocer (just $12) but their prices are steep! We would definately want 12packs of soda and I cannot fathom spending $5 each on those. (I get them here at home 5/$10!) And lunchmeat seams very costly as well. You definately seem to pay conveninece pricing with GG. I feel like, yes, their delivery fee is low however they probably MAKE money on people with the groceries. Example: if they buy my soda on sale for $2.50 each, they get $2.50 profit on that soda. Their prices just seem very high.

So even though WGS is about $10 higher for delivery....I think in the long run I'd spend LESS giong through them since they bring the receipt and they do not overcharge me for using them. Not exactly sure how WGS can stay in business when they just make $22 per order.....even if it takes them just 2 hrs of time (probably more than that) to shop and deliver, they are only making $10 per hour...unless I'm missing something!

I'm sure it will work fine. Marge is very reliable. You can give her your cell phone and she'll call you when she is on her way.

We have used both services, and much prefered WeGoShop. As others have said, Marge is great to work with. She went to the store we specified, and when she couldn't find what we ordered, she called us on our cell to make sure a substitute would be ok. She let us know what time she was delivering our order, and was on time. She also told us that if we needed anything else during our stay, we would get half off the delivery fee for the second order. We will definitely use WGS again!

I thought GG was fine, my only complaint (and one I've read from numerous other posters here) is that we didn't get a response from them after the initial order was made, when we emailed them to add on some items to the order. We did get everything we ordered, but it would have been nice to have a little communication from them that they got the email and added the items on, so we didn't have to wait until we actually received the order before finding out. Other than that, it was an ok service to use. I just think Marge @ WGS goes above and beyond what was expected, which is why we would use them again over GG.
