Weekned b/4 July 4th crazy?

Right now we can get the best airfare deal to go to FL 6/28-7/4. HOWEVER...one question I shudder to ask...

Will the parks be SUPER crazy that weekend before July 4th? I mean, we usually go over the summer anyway so are used to the crowds and plan accordingly, but I'm wondering about holiday super crowds.

We were there last year June 26 thru July 9th. The only day I felt the crowds were heavier than usual summer crowds was on the 4th. We would not hesitate to go again for the 4th. The fireworks were fabulous!! They were shown on the 3rd and the 4th at the Magic Kingdom. Go and enjoy!!

We were there 6/26-7/5 in 2004. The crowds were normal for the summer, but a few days before 7/4 they gradually started to get more crowded. I will never go to a park on 7/4--MK was unbearable, and it took an hour just to get from the castle to the gate after the fireworks. But I think before or after will just be regular summer crowds. Have fun!

I had asked this same question back in August, so do a search to see the results. Some people said they would never go again, some said it wasn't so bad. We have to go during those two weeks due to school issues, so we are stuck. However, we are taking some advice I'll be happy to share. We are going before the 4th and not visiting a park at all on the 4th. We're going to Cape May for dinner, making my ADR's on the 28th!, and doing the Boardwalk thing for the evening. We'll check out the fireworks from there. Just go with the attitude, "Well isn't this fun?!" and you'll be fine.

What a positive attitude!!! I agree with you 100%! Hey, I'm a teacher too! We have to go during the summer,obviously, if we want to take more than a 4 day trip.

I will keep a positive outlook because I DO know how to plan for the busiest, hottest, and wettest of times at WDW!

Have you booked yet? We're there from 6/26 to 7/5. I get to start making ADRs on the 28th! I finally found the June Extra Hours on the www.disney.com site. Go to calendar and then click on Extra Hours on the upper left side. I'd been clicking on the month-by-month, but it wasn't showing June. I thought that was odd, but I was rather slow in figuring out to double check someplace else. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy your time off before second semester!

We will stay at the Poly pool during the day on the 4th and then will head to Epcot in the evening for the fireworks. I heard Epcot handles the crowds better than MK and that their fireworks are terrific.

We go every summer and WDW would not be the same for us without the heat, humidity and crowds! We love it!
