When the points for weekly are listed, is "weekly" considered 7 nights?

Yes. But the total is the same if you were to add up 5 weekday nights and 2 weekend (Friday + Saturday) nights for the same time period. If your stay spans two different "seasons" the weekly total will still be the sum of the weekday nights + the weekend nights in their respective seasons.
