I am a finalist for the Green Mountain House Party! I need to call a 800 number tomorrow to see if I made it, they want you to pay shipping on the coffee maker. I don't care, I WANT that party!
Did anyone else get the email about the Disney "houseparty"? It's not offered by houseparty.com, but Disney itself.
I applied to be on their expert Moms panel and didn't get accepted, but was automatically made a "Mickey Moms Club" member.
They sent out an email asking people to fill out a form with three short essays about family, friends and trips to Disney. Those chosen get to host an In-Home Celebration.
"What is an In-Home Celebration? With the celebration kit we provide, you can accommodate up to (10) parents and (10) children at your house for a Walt Disney World® Resort-themed party. We'll make it easy and entertaining by providing online planning tools and a fantastic party package that will help bring your party to life. Included in this celebration kit:
Disney-themed activities, recipes and décor
Giveaways for parents and kids
And a special gift for the hostYOU!
You'll have the tools you need to throw a Walt Disney World® Resort celebration in your own home, from easy-to-make recipes to Resort-themed games and activities that parents and kids will love. Invite other parents and their kids to join in the magic and let the celebration begin!"
Make sure your pop up blocker is off, I had problems and it didn't print but they emailed me that my coupon was ready to download and I was able to print it.

I got my email at 10:00 am eastern time yesterday. Check your junk mail folders. I was told I was selected and to call a 800 number to sign up because you have to pay for coffee because the party stipulates that you join their coffee club. I paid $11 for 3 things of coffee and can quit after the party. I just need to figure out if the machine takes pods or ground coffee. So I guess if you don't get the email you are not in? Also they had all day yesterday for the 17,000 people who signed up to call, and they only needed 700 participants. I figure once people hear they have to pay to get into the party they will opt not to do it. So hopefully those of you who are waiting will get in since people don't want to pay!
I don't think they were having 17,000 people call the number. They probably picked 700 or so to start calling. After their alloted time, they will pick a few more as needed until they reach their 700 limit. That is also why they have the later date - so they have time to find 700 people who are willing to pay for this party.
