i've heard weekends in december are big times for dvc members. how are the parks as far as crowds? weather?

we'll be "going home" for the first time...december 3-5. we're thinking mgm and epcot on saturday; magic kingdom on sunday.

no weekday - lower points -

no crowds to speak of - going to go to MVMCP - there are posts on both the dis meet board and the theme park board about this thing.

It is alot of fun!!!

weather can be strange - the lows are generally in the 60's (although a couple of times it was in the 40's) - highest generally in the 80's (although again a couple of times 60's)

I love it then!!!

Our first trip home was a weekend in December last year, Dec. 19th to 21st. The parks weren't that crowded, we did MVMCP on the 19th. We did the train tour at MK (this is a wonderful tour), then AK, and Epcot on Saturday, and on Sunday we didn't do any parks, we went around the resorts and DTD to see the Christmas decorations. It was a great trip.

It was too cool for us to swim, but there were some in pools on Sunday.

You'll have a wonderful time. We intend to go for at least a weekend every year in December.

We usually arrive the first Saturday in December and I've found that evening to be crowded at both MK and Epcot (especially Candlelight Processional). The rest of the week is mostly low crowds.

Oh yes, we had priority seating for dinner and then reserved seating for Candlelight Processional on Saturday night. I guess that's why things didn't seem crowded for us! With the train tour at MK on Saturday morning, you are in the park before it opens. I have a picture of an empty main street taken from the top floor of the train station!
