We are going to be arriving in Florida on 26th November. I am led to believe that the week leading up to thanksgiving is the busiest, so from the Sunday onwards should be fine. My question is, can anyone recommend something that we could do on the Saturday that would not get us caught up in the Thanksgiving crowds. Also, is it correct that things are quieter from the Sunday of thanksgiving?

Regards

Hi,

When we was there last year we found the week after thanksgiving was the busiest. To give you an idea, Testtrack was 15 minutes the week before thanksgiving and 90 minutes the week after.

Thanks Bekki, I'm a bit worried now as we are taking our parents and honestly thought it would be quieter after Thanksgiving! :( Not to worry, it will work out!!!

Can I ask what the weather was the weather like when you were there in November?

Hi
We have been the Saturday after Thanksgiving for the last 3 years, always found it to be very quiet no long waits on any rides.
Restaurants also quiet

Looking forward to this years trip November 27th for us.:bounce: :bounce:

HI
I've visited the Orlando about 11 times in November. The crowds tend to reduce on the Monday. The queues are normally 5-10 mins. As Saturday is your first day you could relax, go to downtown disney or try a Park at a slow pace.(It depends what type of Pass you have. If you have a FITS or an AP you could just go into the Park for the AFt or eve.) The shopping malls are very busy that weekend as that is when the super sales are on. We have normally gone to a park on the Saturday as they are normally open late, I think MK was open till 11pm last year. So we arrive late then stay till the end. Or you could go early then have a break and go back for the evening. The weather is a little unpredictable although about 80% of the time during the visits the weather has been glorious. Some year hardly any rain then (i think it was last year) we left the villa to lovely weather for the 20 min drive to Sea World and the weather changed and the heavens opened so we changed plans and headed to Florida Mall instead!
It's a great time of year to go and the weather is normally great. There's decorations and MVMCP !!
ENJOY!!

hi there,

Im arriving at Pop Century on the same date for 15 nights. My wife and I are planning on jumping on the Lynx coach from TTC and travelling down to Kissimmee to visit the Walmart and get in some groceries (its just off the 192).

After this we will probably go to some of the shopping malls like the Premium Outlet. We have no car but always get where we need on the Lynx :)

Hope you enjoy

Colin
