I will be at Universal for a weekend in Oct and it is the same time the Holloween Nights will be taking place. I do not plan on attending that event, but i am curious to know how early the park or parks will close to accomodate that event. We are arriving Friday at 2 pm and had hoped to spend that afternoon in the park. Will IOA be opent to the regualr 7pm time or does this close early too?

They haven't released the hours for this year's HHN but usually the parks will close at 6 or 7pm...the main park (whichever one is "hosting" HHN) will close around 5pm in order for the props and decorations to be put up. Check back over the summer once the HHN information has been posted and you can go from there.

THanks. My son is 9 and i do not feel this (HHN) would be something he would like. I do hope to have enought time however to see everything with the few hours on Friday and all day Sat. We are staying on site so we will have te FOTL pass. I didn't realize it could be at either park. I just thought it was at Universal (not IOA).

Last year it returned to the Studios, the two years prior it had been at both IOA and the Studios, and for about 3 or so years before that it was at IOA. But since the beginning of the event it had always been at the Studios.....but that was because they hadnt built IOA.
Its looking like the Studios is going to be hosting HHN again, but its only April....we wont know a definate until about July. I say go an extra day and see everything without having to rush.
Oh, and you are absolutely right, your son would not like HHN, and it would not be a good experience for you with him either.
