Week of March 2nd or April 20th for lower crowds?

I want to bring my grandkids, 4 and 7, to Disneyland for the 70th. They don’t do well with crowds. Both of these weeks seem to be in between holiday crowds, but which would be the lightest? We will only spend one day at each park.

The last time we did a staycation in Anaheim, the hotel said that their busiest time is during the Natural Products Expo (March 3-6 this year). Google estimates that the conference draws 60,000 attendees. Have you compared the price of hotels for both dates?

We booked Desert Inn for March because the rates were cheaper than the April date, but I’m thinking of switching to April if the consensus here is that April is less crowded. I didn’t think about conventions.

I'm going around April 20 because it's after the big spring break crowds. I think it will be a good week.

The week of April 20th is when I will be there. It is the only week that did not have anything extra going on (After Dark events, etc) with the exception of Food & Wine during the period we were looking at.

Thank you! I hadn’t seen that thread.

From that thread, you can see that the March week will have two After Dark events where Disneyland will close early. During Sweetheart Nites, they are showing fireworks early in the evening, at 7:30. I'm not sure what they will do on the 70 Years of Favorites Nites. Paint the Night will not run on evenings of After Dark events.

Yes, thank you. We would plan to go to DL on Wednesday to be able to catch PtN. I wonder though if DL park will be extra crowded that day since the parade won’t be running on Tuesday or Thursday.
