Week before or week after 4th of July?

Which week would you choose to go? Which week will be less crowded?

We've been both weeks, and thought they were comparable, in crowds, weather, etc.

I personally don't think(based on what we've observed) it will make a huge difference, whichever you choose.

I'd go either week and be fine with it!

We will be there June 28- July 2. But our dates were for personal reasons, not so much crowd predictions. I'm hoping that we will miss some of the July 4 crowds.

So, 6 one way, half dozen the other. I can't decide either, lol.

We live about 1.5 hours away, so we go up there fairly often for the day anyway. My dh thought it would be fun to take a longer trip before we let the passes expire, and those 2 weeks work with his work schedule. So he told me to pick one.

I'm leaning towards the week after the 4th, maybe most of the tourists will be heading home after the holiday? Who knows, lol.

This is what I was hoping, too. We will be there July 8th-12th....only time my DH could take vaca . Wasn't exactly thrilled, we usually go in Oct. I have never been in the Summer, so I hope the crowds won't be unbearable!

They will probably be unbearable. Especially in the evening, I'm not sure why, maybe a lot of locals stop by after work? But the evenings and night time are absolutely packed. If you want to see the evening shows at DL, then basically plan on doing nothing else. We get counter service dinner and dessert and sit in our spot and eat dinner and chat while we wait for the show. It makes the 1-2 hour wait acceptable.
