Week before memorial day???

We are thinking of going the week before memorial day ,leaving the friday before the weekend starts .How will the crowds be this week?

we went last year around this time, but we arrived the tuesday before. We went the 20th to the 27th (i think). The first part of the week was fine; no lines over 20 minutes really except for some of the fantasyland ones (ie peter pan). we don't have kids, so this was not a problem for us.

Once it got to be saturday it started to get a bit more crowded. It wasn't unbearable, but the waits were a bit longer. It is definitely better then going during the summer (june through august) in my opinion.

The memorial day weekend plus the day itself {Monday} will be quite crowded. You should be OK if you leave that Friday, although there will be a lot of people checking in at times during the day to get an early start on the 3 day weekend.

DW and I were there the week before Memorial Day last year.
Went to all the parks and I think yhe longest we waited for anything was 20-25 minutes, but most lines were much shorter.
Crowds were not overwhelming at all. Weather is usually very nice that time of year as well. Enjoy your trip!

We'll be there that week also. Hoping to get all the "must do's" early in the week and then just take our time on the holiday weekend. We're planning a trip to the Kennedy Space Center on the weekend - hoping it won't be too busy.

Us too, Us too!!! Can't wait! We will leave the Friday (before Memorial Weekend) and get there Sunday.....do all the parks Mon-Friday before Memorial and leave Saturday when the Memorial crowds come in! The responses sound encouraging that the lines won't be terrible, and the weather will be nice!

We were there that time last year, but our trip started before Memorial Day and ended after. Memorial Day weekend was crowded to us. MGM on that Saturday (it was also Star Wars weekend) was unbearably hot and crowded. Blizzard Beach on Memorial Day was too crowded to enjoy. The week before you will be fine!

It wont be big enough to over crowd anything, but I can tell you that the vacation club is having three days of member events that week, so it might be slightly more populated that usual.

We were there last year at the same time. We will be there again this year from May 22 to May 28, leaving just before the crowds come for the long weekend.

We will be there from May 21 - May 25. Heres to hoping to small crowds and nice weather. My wife and I are going on vaca for the first time just the 2 of us for our 8th anniversary (I know I have said this before, but that is what is making this trip so special).

We were there last year 5/20 to 6/3 and it was great! Really hot and humid but great anyway ( we're from Louisiana and it was hotter than it was at home). This year we are planning on being there 5/20 to 6/1. Something is definately going on with room availability. The only home away from homes that are available are the cabins at Ft. Wilderness. Deluxe rooms are hard to come by as well. I hope this doesn't affect Disney's decision to give AP rates! Can't wait until May!!!!

Wonder if it has anything to do with the flower and garden show and the acts that are appearing there during that time period?

We were ther that same time last year and availability was great pretty much everywhere. I know they are having the vacation club homecoming but that is only on a few of those dates. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see what's up. Any day at Disney is great!
