This might be a stupid question but are the parks crowded the week leading up to Easter? If so, how crowded are they at capacity?

Hi Ninahbear,

They will get more crowded each day as you get closer to Easter. But you don't have to worry about the parks closing, that usually only happens on New Year's Eve and July 4.

They are getting crowded, but they will be much more crowded later in ther week. Literally it gets more crowded every day of that week.

We just got back late Sunday night and had a crappy trip. It rained 3 out of the 5 days and my husband was sick - it feels like we weren't even there. I am thinking about going again but don't want to go when it is too crowded since my 1 year old doen't like standing in line too much.

The week before is less crowded. The crowds after Easter are huge. The weather is beautiful.

CMs have told me many times that the week BEFORE is MORE crowded than the week after. We go every year at Easter (Friday before to Saturday after). The parks will all be open quite late -- especially MK (Midnight). In fact, this past Easter week it was open until 3 am a couple days. The parks might close for a couple hours during the day, but they will reopen. The waterparks are usually extremely crowded -- and often are at capacity by 11:00 am. The 5-days before Easter Sunday are usually the most crowded, with a lot of people leaving to go home on Monday after. Make all your dining reservations ahead -- especially Easter Sunday dinner, as that day fills up fast.
