It looks like my son and I will be able to go to WDW during our Easter break.:Pinkbounc :bounce: We'll be there April 2-8.

I'm getting ready to start working on our packing list. However,I have no idea what the weather is like during this time of year. Should I expect it to be hot and humid like August? Is sun screen a must during this time of year? I've only been to Flordia once, so I really don't know what to expect.

Anyone know a site that I can use to see what the park hours were for this time period last year? Since it's the week before Easter, I hope the parks will be open late.

I was able to get all the PS I wanted, just wasn't able to get an Illuminations Cruise.:( I'll keep calling to see if I can get one.

When does the Easter parade start? Anything special going on during that time that I should try to add to our plans?

The weather at that time of year is usually nice and warm (about 80-degrees) and not humid. Also, very little rainfall.

The parks will be open late the week before and after. MK will usually be open until at least 10 or 11 (or later); MGM will close about 10, and they usually have two showings of SpectroMagic and two Fantasmic shows each night. The waterparks will fill up early in the day.

The MK is the worst place to be on Easter Sunday. A CM once told me that the week before Easter was busier than the week after.

We went the week before Easter last year and are going again this year. The crowds build each day leading upto Sunday. We fly home Saturday night so I can not comment on the actual Easter crowds. Last year on the Friday before Easter the Magic Kingdom was very had to move around in.

The pluses of that time of year: it warm without being overly hot - Sunscreen was required to avoid a burn. The parks were open late (Wednesday on). There were fireworks every night and Spectro was at least twice during the trip.

I can't find the exact hours from last year but will post if I do.

Friday before Easter the MK was open until 11pm or Midnight (both are noted in my plans) Spectro was at 9 and 11, the fireworks were at 10 (at least according to my notes). The Tuesday before MGM was open 9 am - 10 pm Fantasmic was at 8:30 and 10 pm. Spector was also done twice the Sunday before Easter.

Also Easter is earlier this year.
