Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

yay!! What day is your plaza dessert party??

We are actually doing the Plaza Garden dessert party 11/26, MVMCP 11/27, CRT Dinner 11/28, JBJB dessert party 11/29, and BOG Dinner 11/30. (Unless I can get CRT for 6 on 11/30, right now I could only get it for 4, thanks to JamieOak).

We're trying to cram everything in also, as we've got 4 kids coming along, and it will be the first time for 3 of them. (3 of our own, and a niece). Also, we're getting married on 11/28, if this trip wasn't crazy enough! We're from Pennsylvania, so it will be several years before we come back again.

I'm from PA too, near Pittsburgh!

I have a two year old and I have the JBJB party and MVMCP holiday wishes dessert party... thinking about Illuminations too but can't seem to justify it... Waiting with small kids seem to be a great motivation for all these dessert parties! :rotfl:

If I had realized earlier that the MVMCP Holiday Dessert Party had reserved viewing for the parade, we definitely would have done that instead of the Wishes Dessert Party w/ Plaza Garden. Unfortunately when booking began, I was reading last year's reviews and I didn't catch on, now it's all full!

Yes, that seems to be the largest draw for this! I'm not too thrilled about the view for Wishes. I know someone who will take advantage of the parade viewing, grab some desserts and camp out at the hub because of the view.

I think you should keep checking if you really want the dessert party. I know a couple of people who just got their reservations recently due to cancellations.

Holy crazy and awesome!! How fun!

I'm bringing a Tupperware container to fill! Heck we'll be there until 1am.... I'm sure that I will need more sweets around midnight to keep going.

PS: Y'all are making me want to change to the garden area

tupperware - genius!!

and yessss do it! My main goal was to see Wishes with a great view, and I think the angle from the tomorrowland terrace is just ok. Hoping its good from the garden, and they don't pack everyone in like sardines!

It's pretty good from the garden if you get the side closest to the castle so you are only slightly off center. Do we know if its the viewing garden side on the left or the right or both? And get a spot at the front of the fence since people in the garden area will go stand against the rail when it starts (remember this from FP+ viewing area). The further you get from the castle obviously the more you get more an angled view, but it still beats a lot of other spots. Plus, TREATS! Still considering it, but I just love watching from the middle of Main Street so much.

from looking at Robo's map, looks like the dessert party viewing is just on the right side..I need to find some pics of that area specifically because we didnt spend much time in that area last trip so I can't visualize it very well!!

I totally booked it without even thinking about the view itself. I assumed it would be great. Where exactly is the view from??

I think Tink flies right over you then being on the right side! Google the Wishes Fastpass viewing area and the pics will give you an idea of the setup of the garden and positioning. It's off center a bit but you are far back so it is still a great setup.

Here is a good idea from when it was FP viewing area (from the other side of Main Street), the angles of the castle view are the same on both sides though. Check the links down the bottom of the article for more pics or a video walkthru of the area.

That's what I was finding too. Looks awesome to me! :)

I also would love if people actually stayed seated on the ground. So perfect...probably not realistic though eh?

I've seen people do it both ways. I think I mentioned previously we sat on the left side when it was open to everyone (I wonder if the left side is still open to everyone?), but ended up moving to Main Street since as it got closer people did stand against the rail and I just prefer the dead center view. Just make sure you are at the front in case people want to stand!

I think the other side is open to anyone - good tips though! You're like the wishes guru here. Love it!
