Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Hi, completely new here. :)

The hubs, DS9, DD7, and I will be at ASMu 11/27-12/7.
My question: Is anyone hearing that the refurb for BTM is going over? Rumors on FB group at the moment. Wondering if my BTM FPs are getting cancelled any second.

I was on hold 30 mins and am now on with a cast member who is trying her best but no luck so far with availability... I'm trying for 12/1!

Is there a link anywhere to more information about what the dessert party includes? Just desserts and a reserved spot?

(Maybe unlimited alcohol, appetizers, special character photo, souvenier, and desserts could make the $280 price tag a consideration for us. lol For the record this is a fantasy rambling. I am not implying anything like this is included. lol Just surprised that it sounds like it's selling out already for some dates & wondering if I'm missing something.)

Be careful; you might get pulled into the hype. I originally read about it here on disboards. I looked at it out of curiousity & thought "Who would pay that much for legos?!" I saw it was sold out everywhere & read a review or two. People said to keep checking back for restocks & I got pulled into the challenge. (Reminds me of the ADR stalking I had to do.) When I saw it back in stock early one morning (and with a "free" lego advent calendar) I jumped.

Sorry for posting "off topic." But maybe not 100% off topic, because I was considering looking for it at Disney Springs while on our November Disney vacay if it hadn't popped back in stock online.
Have you seen the cost of the Star Wars legos? The death star is crazy. Lego is so good at taking money, they are one of the few things that I feel are worth that amount though.

Yes, check the post above for more info but this is the specific menu information:

Jingle bell jingle BAM! is so strange - is Emeril going to be involved? What's with the BAM?!

Apparently we have to watch the Prep & Landing videos to understand. There are 2 of them and you can watch on Amazon prime if you have that.

@Meeko5, I just checked and the Wishes dessert party with plaza viewing has at least 49 tickets still available. ;)

Dh's big Christmas gift was the death star a couple of years ago. I think it's been updated since. Giant star wars legos are my go to gift for him. I don't collect, expect I do have the collection of disney mini figs, and I want the castle for Christmas.

Hats off to him for having the patience! That's a huge set, and the gray would have to get tiring after a while.lol

I think the lego sets are really cool. There's a Hogwarts one! But my thing is...what do you do with them when you are done building them? It's really not something I'd want to set out as decoration.

If you're my child- Take them apart and then mix them with another set, then build a city with a stormtrooper ice fishing, rocket launching from a swamp, a ship mixed with fighter jets and police station parts, and a fireman as the captain. I never know if I should be angry or happy that now the new set is ruined.

Has anyone tried to get the dessert party in the past hour? I am worried now.

My haunted mansion for the 3rd is still up. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled. My 6 something for dumbo on a party night was cancelled. We were trying to squeeze it in before the party. It probably was cancelled because of the party, but I don't know why it let me get it to begin with. Oh well, that's no big deal.

I would like to try a dessert party, but will save that for a future trip.

Yeah, DH puts his together and would love to display. I don't want a lego bedroom. Next time we move, I promised him a lego room/man cave. Dd14 keeps her big city buildings together on her 8 foot lego table. The other kids keep them in pieces.

DH displays as many as he can fit on the current shelving in his office - he needs more shelves! He has a bunch of Star Wars Lego and quite a few Lord of the Rings, plus a few other geeky sets. None of the massive Star Wars sets, though I know he'd love them. He's already got planned how he'd display the Death Star if he could ever afford it. :) I wish the Harry Potter sets were easier to find now! I don't collect any Lego other than minifigs, but I am angling for the Doctor Who set for Christmas. :D And the Wall-E set is super cute!
