Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

We're going to do either 11/27 or 11/28, I haven't worked it out yet.

We will be there on the 28th - not planning on dessert party... just staking out a spot with the masses.

We had to take an alternate party date: 12/6 (our last night). It's also the date I booked our EMM. Good thing the DHS holiday show is early in the evening!

Well @heath92681 is an angel!! I just snagged her H&V for 530. Then fantasmic at 7p and JBJB at 9p!!

Same, no dessert party. Trying to figure out which night I can get a better H&V time so we can get a good spot after. Right now I have H&V 5:30 (too late) on 11/27 and 4:20 on 11/28.

(cue boring plan exposition) I think I'd prefer to move my H&V earlier on 11/27. We'll be at MK on 11/27 and the crowds usually pick up starting at 4ish on party nights anyway so we can head out from MK and go to HS, have dinner at H&V and watch JBJB. Then on 11/28 we can stay in DS until we're done, hopefully early afternoon, and head over to DS for the rest of the afternoon/evening, since I'm not sure we'd have enough to do in HS all day. We might, but I just don't know.

Random question: in the midst of all this hoopla on DHS fireworks, is there any news on ROL? I was really hoping that all the news would come out together (but of course Disney would want us to look forward to more planning gaps!)

The whole thing is so crazy - are there really enough people so active on the random Disney boards to completely book these days within hours of it showing up on the website? So wild!!

I hope for anyone wanting to book that more people cancel and you guys can get in.

Hah! So much for hoping! The only thing I've heard about it from this morning is that some people who have Kali FPs booked passed 3pm were cancelled and replaced. Ppl on the first week thread are guessing it has something to do with ROL. Guess we still have to wait.

Yup last thing! Besides the disappointment of not seeing SW fireworks, I'm really disappointed they are not extending DHS hours and are keeping it at 7pm I'm hoping they would extend AK hours further than 7!!! Or I'm going to have to make adjustments again (story of our lives)

The earlier hours actually help me out a bit because of all my EMM/rope drop/EMH plans. It'll be okay if they extend them an hour or so, but any later than that and we'll have to make some tough choices.

Lol yes I was hoping DHS hours would get extended an hour (so my dinner will be more like a dinner than a lunch). But you're right, i guess it is good that the park is closing early too so we don't need to change too much
Still, for Ak, I really hope they extend even just an hour or so. I was hoping to fit TOL awakening Everest single rider and ROL (if it ever opens). Oh and dinner! It's too much from 5-7pm!

That's part of the problem! I'm pretty set on just doing FPs but keeping the dining package an option if I do t get FPs! Seems like there may be a difference between FP seats and dining plan seats too... really wish they would just tell us already! The suspense is literally killing me (with stress)! Lol!

AK is our least favorite park mainly because my kids are still at the age where MK is their absolute favorite and they want to do rides all the time. They like the animals but we have an amazing zoo here in STL. And this trip we have only 4 park days. So 2 at MK, 1 at HS, and 1/2 at Epcot, leaving 1/2 for AK. Kali is actually my favorite ride but I think it will be too cold. And the kids are too young and scared to do EE again. So I am ok with missing this park and it would be nice to have some cushion just in case our plans go wrong, 1 of the 4 kids gets sick, etc. Hope that make sense. That being said I would still love to see ROL!
