Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

There's not really anyone offline to share my excitement with, so it's all on you guys. Bought 3 t-shirts last night for my trip- love them!

Ha I have the opposite problem with my DH. He wants a smartphone badly, but he is so hard on phones so he still had a flip phone. Even the "rugged" flip phones he goes through fairly quickly. I keep buying them from ebay.

Just 45 days left until we get to Orlando and....my room balance is paid in full!

I had a room only reservation, so I wasn't due to pay until check in. But since I'm paying in gift cards I'd rather just call and pay it ahead instead of traveling with an extra $3000 of gift cards. I'll already be taking around $1500 in gift cards with us to cover our dining. It's been on my to-do list for about a week and Lisa talking about gift cards made me think to just do it.

My total saved by buying Disney gift cards is $625 so far (17%), and I still need another ~$1000 which I'll save at the very least 5% on. I might use that as part of my defense if I do want to upgrade our tickets to APs and my DH is not on board.

I can't believe it's so close. Eeeeeep!! I keep having to run out and get the mail before my DS does just in case the ME tags come. Last year I think we were over a month out when they arrived.

We aren't getting to use ME because we are staying at an airport hotel our first and last nights. I was so tempted to just rent a car, but prices are ridiculous this close to the trip. I checked and the MagicBands aren't due to ship until about 10/27 or so since it says we can customize them until then.

I have so much to do yet though and I need to get on some of the stuff that requires ordering to allow for shipping time. I need cute Disney shirts and MB skins at the very least, thanks to all you guys on here that share all the cute things.

You can just tell ME youre arriving a day after you are - grab flight info on a flight the next day and use that. Then you can get on ME (with your luggage- just don't use the luggage tags) the day after your arrival to MCO. And then give them flight info for the day you're checking out of your Disney hotel and into the airport hotel.

Yes it's a little more of a pain that taking an uber or whatever...but free! Haha

There's a really good sale on the Disney Store today, adult shirts and character Magic Bands for $13. I'm finally ordering my iron-ons for the hoodies I want to make - the Etsy seller has a sale going on for a couple more days so I have to get in gear and get that ordered. I mentioned earlier that my sister has a Cricut but I finally talked to her about it and it's broken so even if I wanted to it's unavailable. Etsy it is!

Ah good suggestion, but we are going to Universal first. That's going to be a non-ME trip anyway you look at it. For the trip back to the airport, we'll be in Epcot probably until it closes at 9:30pm and you never know we might want to hit up Disney Springs or the Boardwalk one more time. So I wasn't too keen on setting a firm pick up time there anyway.

I was looking into a towncar deal instead of uber, since we have a few trips (airport to Uni, Uni to WDW, WDW to airport). But then you lose the convenience of being flexible, which we will want to be flexible for 2 of the 3 trips.

Well I finally broke down and did some clothing purchases tonight.

I had $10 and 20% off at Kohls, so I ordered this shirt for DH for free with in store pick up.


Then over to the Disneystore sale! I got 2 hoodies and 2 sleepshirts for me. One tshirt for DH. He didn't really like the selection, especially after I showed him some things I've been eyeing on Etsy.


I suggested almost every Grumpy shirt to DH until he finally agreed to one....

You're correct, and the bus only goes TO the Springs, not back. Quickest way back would probably be to grab a bus to the Swan or Dolphin (which one is closest to DHS? I can never remember) or Boardwalk.

That's great! The grumpy shirts they have are hilarious. This one is very fitting for our DHs I'm sure.

I figured you'd like the Sadness sleep shirt. I can relate to it so much on normal days, I'm sure I'll relate even more after our Disney days!

I just hope it all fits or I'll have to pay for return shipping since I don't have a disney store close to me. That's why I kept it to hoodies and sleep shirts for me so I could guess big!
