Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

working on an Epcot plan and TP has FEA at a 34 min wait at 10:30 on a CL 5 day...

and it ALWAYS wants me to do Spaceship Earth first thing. Um, no? haha

I don't even know where to start with a FP+ plan. Well, I started, with a list. But now I have to figure out what step 2 is! lol

I just start adding attractions we like and hit optimize. Then realize Epcot is effing huge and it isn't realistic to do Soarin first, then hike to TT, then back to the Land, then back over to Spaceship earth, all to turn around and go back to the land for late lunch at Garden Grill.

I really need to pull out my park maps before I start adding things all willy nilly.

And this darn 3 good rides in Tier 1 is KILLING me smalls.

Is anyone here planning to use SDFP bands/cards? We have a set of bands to use that is connected to my old MDE (woo! glad I read the SDFP thread before I booked this year). I'm wondering what your strategy is for using SDFP. When will you get to a kiosk to select them - after a ride or two after RD? Directly after RD? I'm also curious to see what the SDFP availability will be as the crowds pick up again. Right now with low crowds pretty much anything but SDMT and FEA is available each morning, so that gives me hope we can get some good stuff!

Yes I am for our trip. I actually have 2 sets of MVMCP tickets (one set was coded when I changed days) that I could use and I put 2 phantom kids on our reservation to get extra magic bands sent. I will need to pick which method to use, probably the cards.

I plan to get to the kiosk early. Maybe after 1 or 2 rides if it's at rope drop. I may even try to snag 2 SDFP on our party night, before 7pm.

I think it will come in handy when park hopping too. You can get advance FPs for one park and SDFPs for the other.

I purchased 3 yellow MB and setup 3 extra poeple on my MDE. I have big hopes of enhancing our touring with SDFP.
My plan is to grab them as soon as possible in the morning.

Oh good! SDFPers unite - I've been reading the first week of December thread you all are on and it seems to have a good group of people doing it over there. Maybe I should join in but I'd be like the weird new girl sitting at her own table at this point

YES. Crap yes. Baymax for sure. And I wasn't planning on Joy/Sadness but I think my kids will love it now. We've been on a inside out kick again here. Oy.

Nah! I just joined. I read for a while, but just started posting. They are another good thread of helpful folks. It's very active so I learned things I wasn't even thinking of yet (like cheeseburger spring rolls).

I'm giving up on Epcot for now - it's making me crazy. I put Soarin first and it says a 30 min wait at RD! TP is whack tonight.

This is me and AK! I think each park would make you crazy depending on how much time you allot for it. The less time you have the crazier it gets.

If your bag 'o bands is from the same MDE account you're currently using, then they wont work for SDFP. Borrowed ones would though

I planned 2 days with TP so far... DHS and AK. I mainly used it to try and figure out the FP situation. Then I tried an MK day adding all the stuff we want and it produced an error. You have too many activities for the park hours.

I do know that we want 7DMT, Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan on our first MK day (11/27). I'm hoping to add Space Mountain, BTM and PotC with SDFP.... and the afternoon parade is a must on the first day. Then I gave up on the other MK days for now.

We'll have 1 Epcot morning and a full day... I have no clue. The kids told me today they both want Joy/Sadness, not in my original plan. I'll try for the FEA FP- on our second EPCOT day (12/4). I think there won't be much to choose from for 11/30.

I'm still trying to keep an evening flexible for ROL....

I've tried to like the TP touring plans (redundant!), but I get too annoyed and just use other resources to prioritize FPs and then plug things in from there. Then try to figure out where my somewhat picky eater might actually want to eat that is somewhat near where we will be.

I've worked on things the last couple nights and I feel like things are in a fairly good spot... but of course, ROL and the Star Wars fireworks could still throw a wrench in things. And swapping to AKL is making me try to fit in a visit to Sanaa (already had Boma booked)... not sure if it will happen though.

sounds about right for Disney - I don't know how so many people get away with it though! Would have been nice to split costs dangit. A for effort

They get away with it probably because the risks of getting caught are actually pretty slim.

But I personally feel the need to respect Disney's copyright policies and copyright law in general, since I expect others to respect my copyright in crochet patterns and other content I publish online. I can't expect others to respect my copyrights if I'm not respecting the copyrights of others.
