Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

The heat tranfer vinyl is about $10-$12 for a 12x19" piece - from that one piece you can cut a few things, depending on size. but if you want several colors the vinyl investment for a 1x project might be more than just buying them separately on etsy. It all depends on what you want. The crcut should have no trouble cutting the vinyl as long as it's a sharp blade :)

I'm going to just make simple peel and stick decals with regular vinyl for the magic bands. tiny BB8, mickey head, maybe a monorail outline if I can find one for my littlest since he's obsessed with it haha.

these are cute too!

Those are super cute! Is the regular vinyl relatively inexpensive?

My boys want the same color Magic Bands (blue) - I was really hoping for everyone to have different colors, I just love rainbows, lol. I still have time to try to convince them.

yes the adhesive vinyl is much cheaper - I got a 10 sheet variety pack for like $12 on sale :)

We did all different ones last trip because I refused to have duplicate colors in the box lol - I feel ya! With our split stay we will have 2 new sets of 4 so I am ordering 2 different colors for each person. Because why not?!

Spending the afternoon working on my Fastpass plan! Here's the deal - will be me, DH, DD4 (who should be 40 inches - 1/2 inch to go!) and DS1. Q: Is it better/faster for DH and I to use the Single Rider line for the rides that have it (which neither kid is tall enough to ride), or a combo of FP and Rider Switch? I've been reading about getting the most out of FP by getting FP for one adult/one child and then Rider Switching - tips? Does that mean that DS1 potentially would get/use only one or two FP? Or get him his three and let one or two be unused so we can all potentially get a 4th FP later in the day? Am I making ANY sense lol?

We didnt use single rider at all last trip, because we didnt ride the 2 things DS7 was too short for (RnR, Primeval whirl). This year I think we might split some FP between DH and I. For example: DH and DS7 will have 11am FP for Space Mountain, I will have 11am FP for tomorrowland speedway to take DS2 on. We all go to Space mountain entrance, ask for the rider swap pass. Then DH and DS7 go to space, DS2 and I go ride the speedway at the same time. Then we can save the swap pass for later, or I will go right back to Space when DH and DS7 is done, and DS7 will ride again with me. DH and DS2 can watch the cars, or ride the peoplemover, or go play in the gift shop.

At Epcot - DH and DS7 got FP for Test track, I got a FP for Soarin. then we got swap passes at both rides so the other parent got to ride with DS7 again using those. Works great at the tiered parks :)

DS1 wont have any FP selections - he doesnt have a park ticket, so he doesn't figure at all in the fastpasses. anything you have a FP for that he can ride on (no height restriction rides like pirates, jungle cruise, etc) he will go with you all through the FP entrance but wont have to tap through.

if anyone needs kids rainboots - crocs.com has their handle it rainboots for 14.99 with code FALL50. they get awesome reviews! Free shipping over $25 :)

I had a voucher for 32.99 by emailing them when my son's strap broke on his less than 1 year old crocs - I got both kids rain boots and a lightning mcqueen jibbit for the littlest and only paid $1.43!

I think you need an inversion table - hang her upside down to really stretch those vertebrae :rotfl:

My DS7 is 48" at home barefoot, but the doctor measured his as 47.5" barefoot in june. He should have no issues with shoes on, but I'm scared the height sticks are going to be off and then he will be absoltely devastated. Whenever someone asks how tall he is his answer is "48" - tall enough for rockin rollercoaster!"

I measured her last year before our trip and swore she was well over the 35" for Barnstormer but knew that 7DMT was prob gonna be a no go. When they measured her for Barnstormer they said she barely made the height requirement!! I had her at closer to 35.5" without shoes on. According to their stick she was 35" with her heels on!!

I think that sounds awesome!!

I'm kinda nervous my youngest won't like the dark rides this year - "I'm scared" is his new thing. He says he's scared of everything now. I sure hope he surprises me and loves them again!
You can never tell. Their little attitudes change constantly!! Luckily we haven't gotten to a stage of Fear. I think that emotion was missed. She has lots of Joy and Anger with just the smallest bit of sadness. No fear.

see!! That's what I'm afraid of. Inconsistencies. I've read threads where kids have measured the right height at the beginning of the line but then checked again before getting on and were told they were too short. My son would be devastated!

Ahhhh, that makes sense about DS1, and makes things tons easier.

I like your Epcot plan - super efficient! But I'm leaning toward FEA for FP since I'm guessing the lines will be longer there and DD4 loooooves Frozen of course. We'll be at Epcot two days though, so now I'm wondering if I should do FEA again or Soarin/TT. Decisions, boo.

Ack, don't worry me like that! We almost scheduled our trip for this month instead of November, and I'm sooooo glad we didn't now. I'm having the nurse measure DD at DS's well-child appointments to ease my mind. I probably add a half-inch through wishful thinking.

If I were you, I'd get FEA both days - then see how it goes the first day. You can always change your FP to one of the other tier 1s, but you won't be able to get one for frozen after 60 days (and some reports are not even then :/ )

The other thing is FEA fastpasses are only available from 11:00 and after from what I'm reading - so if you plan to get there early you and DH could rider swap TT/Soarin with likely smallish waits, then hit up FEA with the FP later on.

My oldest could care less about frozen, but my 2yo loves Olaf. I think we are going to FP Soarin/TT like last year, then hit FEA at Rope Drop and hope for the best. IF it's a long wait or the ride is down, oh well. But for a frozen loving kiddo I think it's a no brainer :)

My initial thought was FEA FP both days, with Soarin at Rope Drop. Might be the only time(s) we ride FEA, I suppose. What happens to the FP if the ride is down during your time?

why do they check twice? Thats a bit overkill.

Your FP for that ride becomes an "anytime" FP for that ride only. Sometimes they swap it for an additional FP to use at a comparable ride if they don't anticipate the ride coming back up. When pirates was down all day for us, we could use it on one of 3-4 rides on a list.
