Week after Thanksgiving 2016

Hoping to visit the world Nov. 27th to Dec. 2nd before we sail on the Dream. We haven't been at this time of year, usually go Sept./Oct. My daughter and I have visited 3 times but this will my boyfriends first visit and he's not a huge Disney fan. He thinks its gonna be Mickey Mouse and Goofy running around all willynilly!
How are crowds and weather?
How likely is it that we could get a room discount or free dining? We do have the Disney Visa. I get codes in the mail but so far only thru summer.

How likely is it that we could get a room discount or free dining?

That period has been blacked out for both free dining and room discount for a couple years now. It is a popular time to go to Disney. Magic Kingdom can be crowded because of the Christmas parties. Everyone goes to MK on non party days. We were there Nov 30th to Dec 5th, 2013 and it was more crowded than I expected it to be. The weather was nice, in the high 60's and low 70's. We are returning this December.

All three crowd calendars I've seen say low crowds for that week. I spoke to a friend after my post and her family was there last year at the same time. She said that after Sunday the parks were empty and they walked on most everything. I'm hoping for the best for my boyfriend so it wont be fight getting him to go back. The discount is really no big deal, more like wishful thinking.

We have been the week after Thanksgiving twice. Both times were low crowds-in fact I think it's listed as one of the top weeks to go. I'm pretty sure we also had free dining for one of those times-it started back up on Sunday after Thanksgiving. (The other time I waited too late to book, so I missed the deadline ).

Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong with that week! One of the years it was downright COLD, the next year it was more comfortable/borderline hot some days.
