I have been reading posts.
Hot in FL the last week in May.
Crowds the week of Memorial Day.

We were in WDW end of June till 2 days before July 4th. Not extrealy hot. Mostly rainy.

Crowds were not that bad.

You are saying crowds the Tuesday thru Friday AFTER Memorial Day are worst than at the end of June when NY schools are let out for summer ?

We are planning to go again (yea :Pinkbounc )
The Friday before Memorial Day thru the Saturday
after Memorial Day.
I was doing PS for lunches in the Parks for the first 5 days of our vacation.
Are you now saying wall-to-wall people the last week of May ? I would need PS for lunch everyday.

So - is the last week of May REALLY busier than the last week of June ?

I don't think so. This past year, we were there for the last week of May and the first week of June. While Memorial Day Weekend was certainly busy, the Tues-Fri after were not that bad. The following week was definitely getting more crowded as more schools were letting out. I imagine that the end of June would have even higher attendance.

The only catch is that while its not as crowded during that last week of May, the hours are also shorter for MK and DS than they are during the last week of June. Fewer runnings of Spectro and FitS also.

We were also there the week after Memorial Day 2002. The crowds were lighter than at Easter:p(did that in 2001) but it was crowded. Just plan your day. I remember the day we were in Magic Kingdom we went to Fantasyland around 10:00- 15 min wait for Dumbo, did Teacups 3 time in a row(absolutley no one in line). It started getting a little more crowded about 11:00. We rode Space, Splach, at BTMRR each twice. Rode RnR twice. Use Fastpass and plan your day and you will not have a problem.

Last year we hit WDW on Memorial Day weekend (Thursday before to Tuesday after). As others have said, it is busy, but nothing like Easter or the summer. Tuesday crowds were less than the holiday weekend. We always used to go during Easter vacation and during the summer and we haven't found the Memorial day crowds to be as bad. Last May there were a few days where the Fantasyland lines reached 60 minutes and Splash, Space, and Thunder were an hour plus. Other days there were no real lines.

Bottom line is that we didn't find it so crowded that we won't go again. We have our ressies all set for the Saturday before Memorial Day to the Saturday after.

In 2002, we arrived Wednesday after Memorial Day. We thought crowds were great! We had been expecting really crowded conditions-we had been in September for several years.

We were pleasantly surprised and have been in 2002 and are going in 2003 and 2004.

We have been in early March twice and thought that was WAY more crowded than early June.
