WEED Woman

Ya know, weeds are a part of every garden. All the time. And for some reason, they seem to grow more prolifically than my flowers. Go figure. I certainly can't.

So I started looking at my weeds. I thought last year I had cornered the market on new and exciting weed varieties. You know....the ole where the heck did THIS weed come from? And lookeyhere....this one is just lovely...and it's new....think it's one that could be mistaken for a perennial on steroids? Or the....OMG....it's choking the heck outta my prize winning oriental lily! Sheesh.....you just gotta love 'em.

Now I ask you.....anything on the face of the earth work for weed removal and eradication? I've used Preen til I was afraid of polluting the water supply. I've pulled more roots than Scarlett O'Hara. And guess what???? Those dang things keep popping up.

Well, I just hadda get this off my chest. I spent 4 hours in the garden today admiring my weeds. That was AFTER I pulled them....and stuffed them into those lovely, bio-degradable, good-for-nothing lawn and leaf bags that rip if I look at them cross-eyed.

I think it's time to buy a condo.......

Ahhh, the battle of the weeds. I never win, don't have any chance of winning now or forever.
