Cast Of Characters
DH - Rick (49) - Driver and chief worrier
DW - Julia (42) - Co-Pilot and wanderer (where is your mum?)
DS - Matt (15) - Chief Babe Spotter
DD - Nicole (13) - Disney "wannabee Animator"

This is our 12th visit as a family and first time to Cypress Pointe.
We have surprised the kids twice before but this time is definitely the biggest yet (Suprised will be revealed on Trip Report for Aug/19th).

Day 15 - Aug/24
We are wakened at 5-45am by Mickey Mouse on the phone and just to make sure we are wakened he calls back in 10 mins. DD is delighted to hear his voice. We are dressed and ready for our immigration clearance in The Walt Disney Theatre (they take your passports from you when you register on Day 1 of the cruise). Disney provides muffins, juice and coffee while waiting to go through immigration. We were very surprised to see the number of international visitors who like ourselves had to be present. After 30 mins we have cleared immigration.
A stunning sunrise when we go back to our room.

We collect our carry on bags and go to Beach Blanket Buffet for our last breakfast. We have a last walk around decks 9 and 10 before we head to Deck 3 to exit the ship (the boat actually docks before we are wakened).
Upon exiting the ship there are 2 happy CM's with big white gloves waving us goodbye. Once again Disney excels when it comes to how easy and straight forward it is to disembark and pick up your luggage. Within minutes we are on the Radisson shuttle bus and back to the hotel.
Coming down the escalator there was a large number of baggage handlers but you were under no pressure to use them.
We arrive at the Radisson and Shannon is still there and equally as useless when checking in. He is annoyed that he actaully had to do his job and check me in.How dare I interupt his day!
Luckily for us the room is ready and we head over immediately. Upon arriving at the room we discover it to be a motel from the 70s era (check out my review on Tripadvisor.com)
Radisson Review
We decide to make the best of it and go to check out the pool. The weather was nice and the pool was quiet. We stayed for a couple of hours and then took a drive to Cocoa Beach (we were not very impressed....hasn't changed since DW visited here in 1971). We stopped at Publix for some treats and then went to McDonalds for dinner.

Faves Of The Day
None....because we were getting off the ship

Dislikes Of The Day
The Radisson

95f and sunny (rain and thunder in the afternoon)

Aww the last day of the cruise, how quickly it goes by, fantastic reports, thank you so much for sharing them :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your great reports. The 6am Immigration is the only downside to a cruise. It sounds like you all enjoyed it and it has made me very excited about our January cruise

Thanks again

Mandy :)

Enjoying reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

what a bummer way to have your great trip spoiled - darn that Shannon
