Cast Of Characters
DH - Rick (49) - Driver and chief worrier
DW - Julia (42) - Co-Pilot and wanderer (where is your mum?)
DS - Matt (15) - Chief Babe Spotter
DD - Nicole (13) - Disney "wannabee Animator"
This is our 12th visit as a family and first time to Cypress Pointe.
We have surprised the kids twice before but this time is definitely the biggest yet (Suprised will be revealed on Trip Report for Aug/19th).
Day 14 - Aug/23
Today is our day at sea. DH and DS go to the Buffet for Breakfast while DD and DW go to a special,first time Character Breakfast at Parrot Cay.
When we meet up again DW and DD are very excited because they had personal visits with Pluto,Goofy,Chip,Dale,Mickey and Minnie. You could take as many photos as you wanted and the professionals were there also. There was music,dancing and napkin twirling (the food was good too).
DH and DS were on deck when we made an unscheduled stop back in Nassau due to a medical emergency. We saw the poor older lady being taken away in an ambulance with her husband and luggage in tow.
The boat leaves imediately and we are back at sea for our leisurely return to Port Canaveral. The rest of the day is spent swimming and exploring with lunch once again in the Beach Blanket Buffet (great selection as usual).
DH attends a Captain's Q and A session which is very interesting and informative. There are 48 countries represented by the crew on board with over 1000 staff. DW enjoys her verandah and watches other ships and freighters pass by. DS is at the teen club and DD is watching the Disney Channel (there are 6 Disney Channels as well as ABC,CNN and FOX).
Tonight we go for our last dinner to The Animators Palate.
After this enjoyable meal we disperse the tips to our waiters and hostess in the little envelopes supplied.
Toward the end of dinner they have a Parade Of The Baked Alaska which we had for desert. We all agreed that this restaurant is the best.
We head back to the cabin where we change our clothes and go straight back down to the Walt Disney Theatre to see the "Disney Dreams" show. This show is equally as good as The Goldern Mickeys, with a magical ending.
Once more we go through the shops before returning to the cabin to pack (we must have our cases out by 10-30pm that night for pick up).
DW fails to convince DH to purchase a Pearl Necklace in the store...She is so hard done by !!
