PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. -- A collapsed power line sparked a fire on a bus near the entrance to the Port Canaveral industrial complex Wednesday, according to a report.
Firefighters with the Cape Canaveral Fire Department were called to the area of Dave Nisbet Drive near Mullet Road and George King Boulevard around 7:30 a.m. after reports that the back of a transportation bus was on fire.
A dispatch supervisor with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said the fire began when a power line collapsed onto the bus, which was empty at the time, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported. It is not clear at this time who owns the bus.
A spokesman for Florida Power & Light Co. could not be immediately reached for comment.
No injuries have been reported and no patients have been taken to the hospital.
